Those just getting into gaming



I have be gaming for a good few years, my advice to gamers Is to play different types of games don’t just play FPS give role playing or sport games ago this has helped me a lot.

Xbox live has quite a lot of demos to download for free

The most annoying thing will be when you get stuck ie the berserker in Gears of war the first one (Iam still stuck on that one). The best way is you tube or forums like this one.

Code install taking 3 days!!??

yep you could just slip that goldeneye or zelda ocarina of time cartridge into the n64 and hey presto 10 seconds later you were gaming, i miss those days..hate getting old, its just never ever the same campared to being 20, hell in those gaming days i would
rather stay in and play them instead of going out lol

 

Getting back into gaming.

Hello,

I stopped using my Xbox 360 for gaming around 4 month ago and I sold/gave away all of my games but now I want to get myself back into gaming! I picked up Fallout 3 again for only £3 so that's currently my only game, I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend
any good Xbox 360 games which are under £10 and will last me a fair amount of time. I mostly enjoy RPGs and adventure games although I do like the occasional shooter. So do you guys know any games which I should pick up during the next few months? I haven't
got an Xbox Live Gold membership (It ran out last year and I haven't got round to renewing) and I'm not planning on buying one soon so I'm looking mostly for games with a strong single player.

A few of my favourites include; Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, Skyrim, the Gears of War trilogy, Assassins Creed 2, Bayonetta, Bioshock and Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

The trick to beating that berserker is to run behind the pillars and summersault out of the way just as he gets to you *** WARNING *** possible spolier alert ahead for you, read at your own risk....

then from memory (its been awhile since I played it) you want to bait him to run at the door, eventually he will smash through it and then you use the hammer of dawn on him once outside.

 

^You don't even need to lure him to the doors, if you make sure to save up enough grenades, you can just nade the weak spot and get to the outside section without all the dodging. That's how I always did it anyway.

In regards to the OP, I agree about trying everything! I used to be a very narrow minded gamer when I started playing the Xbox 360 (which is kind of funny because I'd play anything when I had the N64), but after a friend kept suggesting all these awesome
games so I just started doing what he did and trying anything that sparks my interest.

The latest example is Mortal Kombat X, I'm not much of a fighting gamer (only buy one every couple of years), but really enjoying MKX and really what I needed to mix it up a bit!
