I tried to play titanfall earlier and kept getting directed to purchasing livegold, ive only had the xbox for around 6 months and thought i had already paid for a year but i figured i must have been wrong...when attempting to buy a years worth a i kept getting
the following message - "This payment option is used on as many accounts as it is allowed to be. Remove it from those accounts and try again, or add a different payment option"

I have 2 cards linked to this account and both gave me the same error, i then linked a paypal account and same thing again

if i try and remove a card it says i cant because its the one used for renewal and must add another for of payment, it gives me this message with both cards and i only have 1 account??

any ideas?

Are your cards listed on any other gamertags? If so you will need to remove them in order for them to work on this one.

Other than that you could try setting up a paypal account, attach your card to it and then add it to your account from there.

 

No other gamer tags listed to these cards, everything was working fine until today for some reason...

Ok, that is odd. I'm going to have to suggest that you contact phone support for more assistance then as this does seem to be a billing issue. 1-800-469-9269 in North America.

It is advisable to make sure you don't get in conversation on xbox live support phone if you have to talk to the foreign reps, My old account got closed and locked because they could not understand English very well and they screw up anything you get them
to do on xbox, I now usually call the American support side to talk to an English speaking rep even though I'm from Canada

 

What was the solution to this problem? Having the same issue with mine today. Attempted to use my card to no avail then tried my partners PayPal (with her permission obviously) and nothing's working?

 

It may be a billing issue on your account. All billing inquiries should be made directly to phone support though as only they can help with that.
