This new update deleted everything ...

Hi.

I'm about 5 minutes away from taking my Xbox One and trading it in for a PS4. This new update has deleted all my saved stuff. It is making me start from scratch on all my games. Also, it doesn't seem to be connecting to any of my game servers and I have
great internet. Ive spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on the Xbox brand, but this is getting frustrating. Ive had nothing, but issues with the One & One S. can someone help fix this before i decide to move to PS4.

If I delete/uninstall an xbox one game, am I also deleting the updates along with it?

It deletes everything including updates the only thing is cloud saves, local saves everything is gone, I had to reinstall about 6 doom updates due to uninstalling game then they just add new dlc

Everything deleted...

Unfortunately, you can't get your data back. This usually happens when your storage device is on the tinkering point of failure and needs to be replaced.

Hi Dr Dee,

Once you're in the preview program, and have the NXOE you can opt out. That said, you do need to factory reset which will erase everything on your hard drive. Your game saves, app settings, and digital licenses are stored in the cloud, however you
will need to install all your games again.

You cant revert to an older build (public or thr bc update build without a factory reset as they are previous versions

Rememeber you are signing up for a beta

First: this is something that everyone was told if you read any of the announcements, or any forums about removing your console from the program, so you have no one to blame but yourself. Ignorance is not bliss.

If you were in the Preview Program and got the NXOE and have opted out, but you do not want to loose your stuff, there is no way to undo the change registration. Once you have opted-out you have to go through everything before you can opt back in.

You will loose everything and have to reinstall all your Games & Apps after you are reverted back to the old dashboard unless you back up everything to and external hard drive and unplug it when you are applying the reset update.

**So in short, there is no way to reverse the process, not even microsoft can stop it now, unless you know someone on the dev team

Same thing happened to me, Xbox should let everyone know this problem. Takes along time to get everything back. XBOX , not a big fan anymore after this to me. If you dont have unlimited broadbsn its going to cost you to get your games back.
