...or revived by them, in this case. MS should have a temporary tutorial section front and center for all new users so they can learn it quickly. Most of it is already there, it's just hidden very well in the help section of the console where most new users
aren't even going to understand how to get there (oh, and if you ARE a new user, simply press the menu button on your controller with the 3 parallel and horizontal lines and select HELP).

Galactic, it's obviously a fault in the UI. Some sort of a coding issue or something that activates the wrong part of the dashboard. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer obvious bugs to be sorted out and this is one that stands out the moment it happens.
If you do things in auto pilot mode, before you realize you're back to booting up a game instead of having that lovely "turn off console" selected. So, I will complain about it until it is fixed.

@Sip... Hold LT + RT and tap Y, then release, refreshes the home screen. May not fix the bug, but sounds easier than holding down the guide in the hopes that it works again.

After using my 360 for 4 days, and going back to my X1..... hands down great UI on the X1.. IMO

This is a miserable interface. Useless as far as I am concerned. The metro/tile/win10 "interface" stinks. What a waste of time to try to find anything or just use it. I could put in specifics. Not worth it. MS spends all it's time and money telling you how
you should use their products. Not listening to what people want. The interface is clumsy and incomplete. If you are trying to create a family multimedia experience, this one is as crappy as Windows ME.

Its far from perfect but a huge leap in the right direction compared to that Playskool cubes we had before. I miss blades, remember those ? those rocked!

The Windows 10 UI on Xbox 1 is beau---teeee----ful. I love it.

I have the Xbox 1 Day 1 Edition console with Kinect. I went to the Xbox 1 Launch as EB Games stores throughout NZ were open for it.

With my Xbox 1 experience at Launch, that Windows 8 hunk took 30 seconds at launch, just to open up something

The UI has gradually improved since launch. But when everyone got the new UI (Windows 10 like, I'm not in this Preview Program thingy) I can honestly say the UI is much more loveable.

If you use the controller to navigate, it navigates and loads stuff at least 2x faster than any previous UI Microsoft has released. Which shows UI/OS performance ISNT based solely off your ISP, but..... how they make the software.... Voice Commands works!
Launching games/apps works (unless there's an XBL service alert for some games/apps/etc). Party works! It's less boxy than that previous Windows 8 hunk. A lot of my friends and peps I've met on XBL said they don't like that Windows 8 on Xbox 1. People may
say there's no difference between Windows 8 and Windows 10. They're closed minded. There IS a difference. It's noticeably faster. People complaining about it just have to get use to it.

I quite like it and I am glad the guide menu is back. It isn't as clunky and slow as the previous UI and things are easier to find.

The UI hasn't been up long (What, less than a month?) and does take some getting used to. The more I navigate it the more of it's road map I learn.

That being said. It can do with an upgrade from time to time, so don't get to liking or hatting on it too much!

Still cant get used to and really don't like the way it looks don't like the amount of screens you have to go through to find dlc I'm giving it till I've finished tomb raider then I'm getting rid I used to use my xbox for everything now I would rather use
my now tv box to use Netflix and other apps I know its a petty reason to get rid of it because I don't like it but would rather have something I enjoy to use I got rid of virgin tv as I didn't like the menus and how you use the features it's just the same
with the new dash
