this new UI really is just horrible....

I just wish I could access ALL of my games, apps, settings, friends, messages, active downloads, settings, etc. in one menu, like you can on the Xbox 360 simply by pressing the guide button. No apps to load, no snap, no share, no home screen. Just one button
and one menu. The content should be the focal point, not the UI.

I've watched an episode recently. Due to the horrible UI, it's really hard to find.

The UI really only started to slow down once the internal HDD was almost full, I'm also on the preview program so there may be artifacts. It's nothing horrible, in fact it's the same response time on my other overpriced new console starting with an S. At
the end of the day I don't really care that much.

 

Burst Axe didn't even have an X1 at the time he stated he installed his games....just ignore him.

He forgot that he posted about a month or 2 ago...that he finally got an X1. He's been piggy backing on ownership of his brothers X1....so god only knows what he was actually familiar with.

@ICN3D I haven't forgot a single thing hater. Before I owned my own personal Xbox One (Purchased 2/22/14) I owned both Killer Instinct (A game I played regularly) and Dead Rising 3 so I sure did install MY games on my brothers X1. My brother owned Ryse and
Forza 5 at launch. All 4 games I installed, along side updating/installing his console and setting up his Kinect and TV stuff. That is a lot more real world experience than you have even now. Right?

Keep hating. It only makes my day a little bit better when you do. Especially when you grasp at strings because you know you don't have anything to back up your argument lmao.

 

No Skill, you apparently don't know what a UI is, because what you described is ALSO a UI - it stands for "user interface" which means if you can interact with it, it's a UI...

 

I like the look of it, but it is way to slow.

 

Why can't the xbox one user interface be like the 360, like seriously keep windows 8 on a mobile devices because that was what they were intended for.

 

They're going to change the UI when Windows 10 comes out, just like they've made changes to the UI on Xbox 360. I also am not a fan of Windows 8. Too boxy snap this. But Xbox 1's UI HAS improved compared to what it was like at Launch.

 

Xbox one hardward/OS is pure garbage but the controller and games are awesome

1. you can probably do soon since you can assign a controller to a profile so I think the next step will be that it remembers your preferred controlelrsettings.

2. You can pin all apps you want to do then snap them which is faster then on the 360

3. You can manage your storage go to settings, system, manage storage

4. yes that has to be improved

5. it is simple ones you did pin all you wanna use it will work just pressing the button twice and it will allow you also 4 options.

The difference is you can now customize your home screen like people asked for.

It is made simple so everyone can still use it.

Xbox did actually listen and made it you just dont wanna se it since it is so surprising that someone listened.

No worries you will get used to it.

6. you cant turn it off yet, maybe later. Without displaying a whole load of test for the achievement they now have a standard size.

Means after it popped up ones you know how it looks and how to then avoid issues when playing a game.

It will not cover your screen in different sizes it will be the same. Developers can use that to not block the view and make gaming easier.

You can also see achievements you do not need to hide them since they will less likely be in the way.

Turning off the sound is maybe a thing but I do not see how they distract you now to require them to be off they are fitting in there fine.

Its done so well if you can differ between objects in games you can also handle this pop up window if you are honest (;

7.the tabs are merged into pins which makes it an option for everyone how fast to use their home screen.

To go through 5 or 6 is disappointing for people that like speed, Xbox found a good mix.

One thing I noticed tonight is that I'm watching a Blu-ray disc movie, when I hit the home button, it's still playing the movie with sound in the big window on the Home tab, but.... when I navigate to Pins Friends and Store while the Blu-ray movie is playing,
the Dashboard is laggy as a snail. However when I quit the Blu-ray app or stop playing the movie, navigating with the controller to Pins Friends and Store is faster and more fluid. The Blu-ray app doesn't require fast internet, so why is it laggy like this?
no it's not an internet/ISP problem. I'm playing the movie off a disc not the internet. It's The Art of Getting by. Xbox 1's hardware is perfectly able to multitask. It has 8GB of RAM and AMD 8 core Jaguar APU! Even when I play DVD's on my HP Pavilion dv6
which has Windows 7 64-bit Home, the OS doesn't lag this bad when multitasking like viewing pictures and documents and having the DVD playing in the background. My PC only has 4GB RAM and intel core i5 processor. Sometimes I feel like the whole OS is running
off Xbox Live instead of the OS being stored and running off your console.

 

SSB, you do realize that its only using 1 or 2 of those 8 cores, right? DX12 is supposed to unlock the other 6 or 7.
