THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED, I DID NOTHING!!!

So a friend of mine doesn't own an xbox anymore so he uses my xbox one as his home xbox whenever he comes over. Well he recieves a lot of bans and whatnot from communication. Apparently his last ban was so bad that it bans whichever console set as his home
from communications and from playing multiplayer. So now because of an account completely separate from mine, i cannot do anything with my xbox besides watch videos and play offline. I only play online and rarely use netflix or youtube. So he uses my xbox
as his set "home" console, he sends "inappropriate" messages, and then my console and all accounts on it become banned. the console device id was banned and not just his account.

Also you cannot access all multiplayer features as it is a trial not full gold

What feature are you trying to use

If you are trying to access apps those wont work with 48hour trials

48hour trials functions vary per game

More advance features like cod threater probably doesnt work

Unfortunately, this is a risk when having others use your Xbox.

If their account was used on your console to commit repeated/serious violations of the Code of Conduct, Microsoft will ban the console. There is no way to reverse a

device ban, as they are all meant to be permanent.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but your friend owes you a new Xbox.

 

I talked to someone on the xbox support chat staff for about an hour earlier and they said nothing of this.

 

Depends.If it's a console ban then that's it.Console bans are permanent & never overturned.

If it's a console privilege suspension then it will last as along as the suspension on your friends account.

It's a violation of the code of conduct to use a secondary account to avoid a suspension on your main account.

Console privilege suspensions are issued to prevent people from doing this which means any account on that console receives the same restrictions as the suspended account.Your account will work on other devices.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is your friends behaviour,if they keep getting suspended then this is down to them.

This is all down to your friend.

My advice would be to remove your friends account from your console if it is a console privilege suspension otherwise next time it probably will be a permanent console ban.
