    This needs expanding


    So after reading this post:

    Xbox Live Connection Help | Can’t Connect to Xbox Live from Xbox One

    I should be able to connect to XBOX Live as it states. However I cannot on my XBOX One, connect to XBOX Live. Why does this article assume that just because you have an internet connection that you can connect to XBOX Live when that is clearly not the case.

    I have an internet connection on my XBOX One.

    I have a multiplayer Connection on my XBOX One

    I cannot connect to XBOX Live.

    Can someone please create an addition to this article that says if you cannot connect to XBOX Live after these steps have been completed then do this.

    You're not wrong, this article does need a little expanding. Honestly though these steps help 9/10 people and an issue like yours tends to be a bit more involved and would probably be best if you just contacted support directly.

    If you can connect to the internet but can't connect to Live then the issue is either a networking issue and you may need to change your NAT type or open additional ports on your router or something, or it could be an actual account issue and your account
    could be suspended or have a billing violation or any number of other account related issues. I would give them a call and see what they can do for you, 800-4-MY-XBOX. Either someone in Connectivity or Account Management would be your best bet. Start with
    Account Management.

    The issue here was that I eventually just did a Factory Reset and it worked saving me from sending it back. I think it needs to be added and will save people time from going to support. I spent 2 hours on support only to just do a factory reset and fix the
    issue. I just think saying it is fixed because you have a network connection might not be relevant to everyone.

    How did you get a multiplayer connection but not connect to Xbox Live? You need to be connected to Live to play multiplayer.

    When you run the network setup wizard on your Xbox One, when does the connection fail?
