This Mic Problem is a Console Problem.

My Headset must be plugged in on boot up of the system or it wont work. I can hear others chat sometimes and other times they can hear me but most times my mic doesnt light up or theirs isnt lighting up. This occurs
when im in a game chat or party chat. im positive it isnt related to the NAT issues people are having. its a Console bug not registering Mics. The reason i think that is because if everyone resets their consoles for 30 seconds it ussually fixes the problem.
However reseting your console every single time you party up or want to join game chat is not a solution. MIcrosoft Please Fix this already!!

I would say that its neither a disc or a console but the GAME itself. It seems like its just glitching out. IF this happens when you play other games, THEN you might have a problem with your console. Since its a new game and all, your bound to run into some
kind of glitch but those usually get fixed through updates and patches. You might want to go to the games official website and look around on that for a way to report bugs and glitches. That will let them know what to look into when writing updates and such.

So i just bought GTA V and i was doing the second mission where you are driving the car and following the other guy.. well while driving none of the imagines would appear.. on my screen there is no road no buildings no street signs.. i would drive and crash
into something thats not there and then it would load up in.. basically all the objects that should be on the game are not there.. so i wanted to know if this is a disk problem or a console problem..

 

Simply turning off the controller and back on again fixes it for me.

G'day Jake! Please give this a shot too:

• From the home hub, go to the sign-in screen (upper left corner)
• Highlight your profile and select "Choose This Person"
• Try chatting in your party or game again.

This will ensure that your profile is paired with your controller and its attached headset. Give it a shot and let us know the results!

Thanks, i will try this soon. can this feature be disabled? or can the Kinect be reset my dog logs in my Wifes acount all the time maybe when it does it stops hearing me.

 

sorry guys this wasn't the answer. I tried today and still nothing so far only Hard reset on both my system and my brothers allows us to chat. Plus in game still nothing. Please more help!!

The dog signed in your wife? Haha, sorry but that joke writes itself.

Anyway, in all seriousness, I would take your wife off the Xbox account completely and attach her profile back again. Then have her start allowing the Kinect to recognize her. Make sure the dog is not in view. When she set her account up, the dog might
have been in its field of vision.

 

Thanks and -_-...but she did that on purpose apparently. Anyway they're is a clear kinetic data that I found. However though she isn't getting signed in anymore Mic still doesn't work unless a reset is involved. I'll keep trying different things I feel like

If your wife's Kinect sign-in data was erased, then it may take a few tries of selecting "I wasn't recognized" before Kinect totally associates her face with her profile. If she isn't signed in immediately, please have her select that option from the sign-in
page until it picks her up.
