This loyal M$ fan feels jilted by today's news.

You have to realize that when you buy a new console, you always get the worst deal. Price cuts will come later, hardware revisions will come later, pack-ins will come later. Whether in three months or three years, there WILL be a better product/deal available
than the console you got at launch. That's one of the risks you take in being an early adopter. Does it suck? Yeah, kinda. But this is an incentive for new customers to buy the console, and you pretty much already made the statement that the game and the console
were worth $600 when you decided to buy it at launch. To put it simply, you basically paid an extra $60 to enjoy the console 4 months before people that decided to hold out. I've already had a lot of fun on the console, so I guess it's worth it to me, but
it's ridiculous to get mad over things like this because there was always the possibility that it would happen.

 

I think you'll find us UK gamers get bundle deals because we pay more for a console than US gamers. US gamers pay (roughly, not exact, going by Amazon prices) $500 (£300) for a Xbox One. UK gamers pay £430 which is the equivalent of $715.

Needless to say I could buy a system from America, have it sent over, and it would likely be much cheaper than buying from here. So don't begrudge us the odd free game, it actually stops the "interests from being separated".

You'll also find there are UK/European members complaining as well, not just US members. The self entitlement breeds from the Day One and Second Wave adopters rather than any specific nation.

 

HAHAHAHA. You guys need to come and live in Australia for a while. Titanfall at EB games! $99.95! And that's just a standard edition! At one stage, if you wanted to buy a copy of photo shop here it was cheaper to get on a plane, fly to th US, buy photoshop,
and fly back, then it was to buy it off the shelf here. And that was when our dollar was worth more than the American dollar. It makes me laugh as an Aussie to watch you all complain about this crap. We would kill for games to be $40 to $60. I see your all
getting the headset adapter for $25. You know what. $40 dollars over here. If you can't live with things getting cheaper or deals getting better, then don't buy things ever. Because the deals your seeing now are nothing compared to what will come out. Soon
it will be two free games. The. A free controller and two games. Then add in free xbox live for a year. It will never stop!

 

Some countries get proper shafted with prices for games, Australia notoriously. I think Brazil was another one though I am not sure if it was ever changed in the end.

What's worst about is is how much ends up in the governments pocket!

 

For sue unreal! The point I'm trying to make is that some people on here are complaining over nothing. It's no different to buying a car and the 6months later it $10000 dollars less. Or look at everyone who spent hundreds of dollars on a samsung galaxy S4
and now just a year later, here comes the Galaxy S5.

 

For definite. Technology is at a point where it advances so quickly that it is already losing value by the time it has left the warehouse.

 

I agree. It's another reason I find it highly unlikely that these new consoles will last a full 10 years like they are saying. They are already old as far as the tech goes. Curious to see if they will keep up in 5 years.

Hey, selling out to Amazon won't be a bad thing. Amazon has a much better rep for actually putting in a lot of stuff people want to entice people to give them money rather than telling people to "deal with it" and dictating that "if you want to do this that
we advertised our device to do, you must pay this extra fee".
