Once again, I just the irony of the UK guys telling the US gamers that the yare just whining when they got a free game or two at their launch after "whining" and "crying" about the price of the console after it was announced.

So it's good for you guys to get a free game when it's FIFA or Forza, but it's not ok for us to want a something extra??? That is called separating your interests and single out your "Home" base...it's bad enough Sony does it to the states and why I dropped
them after the PS2...but to sit here and call foul when you it was ok for UK fans to get free stuff just 4 months ago??? Irony indeed!

 

This isn't the U.S gamers that haven't bought X1 yet complaining that they missed out on a free game its the U.S and U.K gamers that bought Day 1 and have to buy the game where as new purchasers of the console get this for free. Its Pathetic. There is an
offer in Australia Now to get it for $499 with titanfall as long as you trade in your 360 250 gig console. If that deal suits you great,but i bought day 1 and i do not feel let down buy others getting this deal at all. This happens with products all the time.

 

Death didn't hit it on the head Death is flat wrong. Did ms do this with the 360? No. Did ms do this with the OG xbox? No. So really the question is how big of a corporate apologist are you. Death obviously is accepting of poor behavior by MS when Apple,
Nintendo, and most other companies that pull this quick price cut move actually do take care of their early adopters with gift cards free games or other incentives. Death is so busy telling everyone they should know better to actually post examples bc for
MS there are none.

Anyone who has been an adult the last 8 years knows better.

 

Original xbox got a price cut 1 month after launch in the UK

 

Not in the US. UK is getting hoed out too. Game stop has the new bundle for 369£ for you guys.

 

I've been adult longer than 8 years, I know this is nothing more then marketing. I live in NA where there is no price drop, only a code for TF with consoles..... $499 w/ TF code.... meh....

 

TF is why I bought the one in the first place. It's not at all standard in the US to do this. That's why I'm *** and I will make damn sure MS loses more money from me than they took by doing this.

 

Well you could have waited till now to buy on e if it was just for TF.

 

If I had known MS would show so little faith in their own hardware I most certainly would have.

 

Actually knowing what I know now I'd probably just go ps4/pc since I already have both as well. I just supported xbox out of goodwill more or less. None of that left now though.

 

I personally think this move is great.

MS/X1 was lagging behind in sales, so they did this. Now, the PS4/Sony will probably do something along those lines as well.

What does this mean? Consoles now come with games again!!!

Anywho...I'll be buying an X1 with TF sometime this year. My girlfriend said I just have to let her buy something of equal value. So....more shoes...no biggy.

Yes. What came out at launch that was really compelling? Forza was a cut down dlc machine. Dr3 was a 360 port, ki is nice but dual helix is gone now to amazon. What else is there? All the multi plats are better on ps4.

 

To your first point, the Xbox One costs over $600 in the UK when converted from pounds to dollars, even after the price reduction. Also, the free game is in the US, also.
