    Do you know if there is any xbox live/subscription payments maybe late in processing payment by any chance? If so you may need to update this late payment before proceeding with your next transaction.

    Have you tried buying an xbox gift card on your account or from the store, you should be able to add that to his account

    Nothing late for payment. It was our very first time trying to purchase anything on the Xbox and in Microsoft community. It says the same thing about PayPal.
