This is ridiculous, FIX IT!

well the blu ray app is sort of a patch the drive.. not sure.. but I heard that before... but this does not make sense as the game is installed to the HDD and only reads the disc for a fraction for verification...

I know BF had an issue with daybreaker map.. or as we called it Gamebreaker... would dash random people.. every time at the same spot...some issues might be game related, not XB related..

well TBH, the hard restart is not a ghetto fix. The way the X1 is designed is so similar to a PC that when you turn it off... it only goes to sleep... and as with any PC, you do need to restart it or turn it off and let it hard reboot every now and then...

Anyways... if it only happens during certain games at certain parts.. it just may be the games fault.... like I said BF4 had severe problems with dashing at release...

 

Ummmmm......take it back and get a new one. Sounds like you got a faulty unit. Why do people fight and suffer through things like this. Go..... get......a......new.......one

 

First I want to thank (again) those who offered aid and suggestions during my rage mode. As easy is it is for me to go after poor customer service and a non recognition of issues in regards to something like this I also find it just as important/mandatory
to then explain the good they do.

That being said, Microsoft handled the issue (took them two days - which is simply amazing) and my machine is not only working from DR to Thief, but it is also performing considerably better. The individual I spoke with was courteous, knowledgeable, kept
her word on two occasions in calling me back when she said she would (major plus), and of course worked the issue (which was in fact on their end). I can rant all day (anyone can for that matter) on issues of irritation and inconvenience and in life, *** happens,
but it is the ability of the problem cause handling said issue which speaks volumes about not only the person but in them representing the company they are attached to. So I wanted to write this message to again thank you fellow gamers who said what you said,
and then also (incase someone with a similar issue reads the forum) let people know that in my experience with this specific XBox Live issue (amazing it came down to that - I can explain if anyone wishes) they handled it expertly.

I actually forgot to ask her one thing (and perhaps one of you guys/someone else knows) and that is my Xbox site (on the internet/not the game dashboard on system) is still stuck on my previous Xbox 360 games and has not updated my "recent activity" in terms
of Xbox One. Does anyone have a clue how to switch that over?

Ive just brought an XB1 2 days ago, 1st thing I did was download Fifa14 as soon as it finished I started the game only for it to crash/dashboard me when loading up. it now seems like its 50/50 if the game will start or not.

I tried returning to store (game) after buying 3 hours earlier, but they wouldn't except it as they now have a helpline I have to ring (fuming as I just brought the console and its playing up from out of the box) I rang the number and told them what was
happening and they assured me its not the console its the game (every friend I have which plays fifa on XB1 confirms that there is a game problem causing crashing as they have all had it playing Fifa)

I've owned a ps4 and that had the same problems with the same games.. dashboarding whilst in game (but it came with an error code too.. ce-34878-0, google that) its just the same problem as crashing on XB1 which also tells me its a game problem.

if you haven't had the crash then think yourself lucky, but there can't be that many faulty consoles both PS4 and XB1 if it is console problem)

The annoying part of both PS4 and XB1 is that none of them are coming out with reasons for this happening, they seem to be pretty clueless in whats causing it.

 

I haven't had the game interrupt problem but the same thing is happening to me on this site. Page never loads completely and still has old info from my 360 days. I thought the forum update might fix it but no.

Hopefully this helps you because, trust me, I was *** about it and know that feeling (those who didn't have, you're lucky). The Microsoft rep said he wanted to "tinker" with the Xbox Live (I guess each username is not only special unto each player but they
also have some form of singular connection that only allows XBox live to grant them, literal, access to the server). Anyhow, they claimed that the issue was due to the Xbox not receiving a signal of sorts and they did whatever they did. Now if you were to
tell me that just out of the blue I would call BS because it just sounds far fetched. However, since whatever was done (or really done) was done, I haven't had a single interrupt on any of my games. So I suggest you call in and tell whoever you talk to (hopefully
you get a good one like I did) to refer to my user name () and perhaps there is some form of record they keep which will help the person you're talking to do what was done for me.

I contacted MS support web chat, and typicaly my game started when they asked me to try it.. But honestly it does seem it will crash whenever it wants when I try to load up. I mentioned you case and they told me if there isn't a error message to go with
the crash it wont be xboxlive releated?
