    This is rated above "User's" restrictions


    I am trying to download a game on the Xbox App for PC but every time I try, I get a message saying that the game is rated above the restrictions set on my account. I have no restrictions set on my account, and the age set on the account is over 18, I have searched a lot for a way to fix this and every "fix" I tried has not worked, I am the only person on the account, I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, I have tried to repair and reset the app several times, and have even tried restarting my pc but nothing is working! Please if someone has any other recommendations it would really help a lot!

    I spent a good chunk of the day trying to fix this, then last night it magically fixed itself, I strongly believe it was a problem on the backend side.

    Hi Liam_2022, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple users that are experiencing the same issue which means that it can be a service alert anytime soon.

    No worries, let's try to fix the problem by repairing and resetting the Gaming services as well.

    Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Search for Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair > Reset.

    After that launch the Xbox App and try to download a game again.

    In this case, we may need to wait for a fix to be deployed or to try again after a couple of hours because currently there are multiple reports with the same issue.
