For every game that I want to play with Xbox game pass (PC), I am getting the error "This is rated above the restrictions for..." even though my birth date is correctly entered as 1982 on my Microsoft profile.

As written in many articles on Support,

I changed the date of birth in my profile and logoff from the application and logged in again.

I used the option to repair Xbox app via apps.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app

but none of the methods written above were the solution.

and all this started happening after downloading Paw Patrol: Grand Prix

I gave up to wait 24 hours for this problem. It's really frustrating and I don't want to be pissed off any more because of this stupid mistake of microsoft and the inability of anyone calling themselves a advisor to come up with a solution.

By the way i could not connect to any live support for this, Microsoft Support is very very very terrible state....

If this issue is not resolved after 24 hours, I will terminate all my paid subscriptions to Microsoft. This is truly a disgrace.

Don't remember what was the last game I downloaded in June, but it might have been some Paw Patrol game (which i could not get to work anyway becouse i need xbox controller)

Hi Murat, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Seems like there are multiple reports in regard to the same issue. Let's check this further.

First, make sure that there are no restrictions under your account by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family, kindly make sure that you also have an adult account via https://account.microsoft.com/profile.

Once confirmed, sign out on your Xbox app and then sign back in before installing any game.

First of all thank you for your answer. As I mentioned while explaining the problem, my birth year is defined as 1982, along with the month and year details, and I think this is enough for an adult account. Other than that, there is no other field to edit.

After resetting the Xbox app, I was able to download the PEGI 16 rated Medieval Dynasty game. However, at the moment, I cannot pass the window where I verify with my MS account at the entrance of the game. I'm sorry, but my problem is not related to the methods you provided. There is a serious problem matching with the MS profile with the Xbox app and I cannot currently use a service I paid for.

EDIT: And now i cannot download any other games rated +16 or +18, again!!!

And here are my profile settings as a i mentioned above.

Have the same problem (and I'm 37)... Tried uninstalling app, changing date of birth several times, resetting app - nothing. Used gamepass last time in June and today this stuff happens...

Did your problem start after downloading a kids game? Because I think this problem started after I downloaded a game for my child (Paw Patrol: Grand Prix). I mentioned this in my first post.

I am having the same problem from Today. It was working yesterday as I downloaded a game then but cannot today.

I have updated my birth date (was already correct but this was advised as a possible solution)

I have signed out and restarted the xbox app

I have updated to the latest version of the xbox app

I have download the game pass app for my phone and tried to push from there.

I have tried to create a new account on my pc and sign in on that account.

None of the above work.

I have also confirmed that i have nothing set in the microsoft family section in regards to restrictions.
