  1. This is my last Xbox Product!

I purchased a Xbox One S on black Friday new from Target online and received it on 11/28/16. I had the Xbox for less than a week and something happened with the power and my Xbox would no longer turn on. I went through Xbox support doing the troubleshooting
to no avail, and I was told the only option then was to send it back to Xbox so they could fix it, I now know after sending it that I had other options, but it is to late for that. I already sold my old Xbox one so I am going to be without my Xbox for god
knows how long. Mind you this is the Xbox I have had for less than a week, this is nothing less than ridiculous. On top of that I am in college and due to not having supplies to ship it i had to pay $13 in order to get the damn thing shipped. This is absolutely
unacceptable and I am rather pissed at Xbox. This is the last Xbox device I purchase and if I hadn't already put all the money that I have into the old one I would be returning it right now and never buying an Xbox again. I have had problem after problem with
Xbox for the last year and this was the final straw. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! I know my frustration isn't going to be accomplished, but I want Xbox to know that I am pissed. That is all, thank you.

    :)

If I owned something less than a week and it broke, I would simply return it to whom I purchased it from for a refund or trade it for another, but that's just me. I didn't go to college so I may not be that smart. This is my last Xbox Product! :p I should add that I am smart
enough to keep a receipt though.

  5. You could've returned it to a local Target store if your Xbox was a dud, even if it was ordered online from Target. It's only been about a week or two.

But, I guess you shipped it to Microsoft for repair already, so... you'll probably get it back in a couple weeks.

So you bought it from Target Online a week ago, it goes faulty, so you phone Microsoft? why didn't you just return it back to Target? I mean by law they have to replace it or give you a full refund (at least that's the law in the UK, not certain of the situation
    in the USA)

Maybe they offer courses in Common Sense at this "college" of yours.

Alas, I suspect the only courses offered are of the Clown variety.

Considering you now know after sending it in that you had other options... it appears to me that you didn't bother to seek them out before acting. I believe in the last quoted sentence, you should replace "Xbox" with "Myself" if you were
    to properly direct your anger.

Since Xbox doesn't read or participate in the forums they won't ever see this.

I thought that might be a problem going forward with the One S due to the internal power supply, but a lot of people complained about the HUGE (not really) brick required for the Original One and The Elite console. MS made the changes people wanted and they
    still aren't happy.

Store return was your best choice here.

That is an unfortunate experience. If you live in Australia or New Zealand, under those governments laws, if the product you brought from a NZ/Aussie retailer turned faulty in it's warranty period, we just go back to the retail shop we got it and they will
simply exchange the faulty console for a brand new console on the spot if they have another one in stock which is usually the case, or you can ask for a refund. Under NZ/Australian Law, if you want it repaired, simply take it to the retail store you got it
from and arrange it. There is no extra cost such as shipping for the customer. If we got it from xbox.com site, if Microsoft says you still have to pay the shipping, you can explain your legal rights. And in their terms of service, if you live outside of the
US, your countries laws govern the interpretation of your contract. And since Microsoft has offices in NZ/Aussie, they automatically fall under the jurisdiction of those governments too. And if you live in these countries, Microsoft can not minimize your legislation
rights as they are not allowed to. The law is above any contract.
