This is how you get a refund for Xbox Live Gold subscription as of 11/16/18

They require you to fill out a refund request form. I got a full refund for a one year subscription of Xbox Live Gold. But just know I requested a refund exactly one day after I was billed. I dont know if they require you to cancel within a time frame or
if they just prorate your refund for the amount of time left on your subscription. Try it regardless.



-Go to Sign in to your Microsoft account

-Sign in to your account. (The same account that has the subscription you want refunded)

-Fill out the form.

When I filled out the form I selected 'Bought By Mistake' as the reason for wanting a refund. I don't know if the other options disqualify you for a refund or not, so select 'bought by mistake' just to be safe. Then they'll email you to let you know.

Oh Boy I think I found (GOLD) and located what the issue is - for those with long term Tenure's please review your transaction history for your Xbox Live account at
Sign in to your Microsoft account I bet it's the SAME Thing!!

I found where MS may have messed up and it's more then likely the source for which we see the bad calculations on some of these long term tenure account and why most if not all of us are seeing EXACTLY 3 years knocked off of 10 year and 9 year accounts -
In fact for any account that started prior to 2005.

Here's how my history goes and NOTICE in November of 2005 I payed for GOLD on my anniversary date 11/18/2005 but for some reason (And somehow I believe this maybe when MS was offering some kind of promotion to get 20% off XBOX LIVE GOLD from there after)
it only went to 11/23/2005 but you can see on 11/23/2005 it picked up again expiring 11/18/2006. Not ONCE did it transition from Gold to Silver back to Gold - this was something with MS Billing changing things around and me taking their offer to get a percentage
off but still keeping a GOLD account.

Now If my 1st grade math serves me correctly 2005-2012 is 7 years and the calculation for tenure is is *** up because the way MS changed billing on the account.

MS PLEASE GO CHECK MY BILLING HISTORY and now after pointing this out PLEASE FIX MY TENURE and EVERYONE ELSES TENURE for Service that Matches this. I can guarantee this is the source of your issue - to coincidental for long tenure accounts to be losing exactly
3 years.

It's not us going SILVER it's your system not calculating right.
