This is getting ridiculous with the amount of remastered games

Did people here know that all non backwards compatible ps3's can play ps2 games? Unofficially. So the idea of profit over real BC has been a thing for quite a few years now. At least MS did a decent job at providing BC on the 360, psn just re sold PS2 iso's
and their own EMU instead, unless you had an original 60GB console that was officially BC.

I was refering to the model that was used by the Xbox 360 towards the Original Xbox games in which Microsoft didn't charge the users anything at all.

Backwards Compatibility (if Microsoft does it) on the Xbox One would probably be free like the Xbox 360.

Sony took a different route with PS Now, electing to make game BC but only if you subscribe to their service.

It really is all about the money.

 

Sounds like a good opportunity for Microsoft to make a free BC feature via The Cloud available if you have a silver Live account.

 

I don't normally buy remastered games - don't really see the point.... and the best 'old' stuff I have probably kept somewhere!

But.... Mass Effect Trilogy remastered? I would be all over that!

I don't mind remasters one bit..if it's a title i don't like i'll pass it up. If it's a title i do like i'm picking it up. On that note loving Metro Redux

Why not just remaster all of the Gears of War games on Xbox One, that would be a even better idea than just Gears of War 1.

 

Don't Remaster. Add Backwards Compatibility and start releasing new stuff

 

Microsoft saids that in the near future, they will allow Xbox One owners to stream Xbox & Xbox 360 games through a streaming service called Cloud. Sony is doing the same thing on the PS4 as well, stream PS1, PS2, and PS3 games through Gaikai. Since this
will be a digital thing most likely, time to get rid of all of your PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, and Xbox 360 games and buy them all over again on the PS4 & Xbox One.
