This is getting ridiculous DISC DRIVE ISSUE

I'll start from the beginning, February 2014 I purchased my Xbox one console. I've had no real issue up until about 3 months ago. My disc eject button just LOVED to make sounds. Like all the time. With February 2015 right around the corner (warranty expires)
I decided I should send it in before it does. Well I sent it in relatively with ease and waited about a month for it to return.

I received an email saying "This email is to inform you that we have received your console at our service center. You don't need to take any further action. We will process your service request and send you a replacement console as soon as possible. You
can check your repair order status at any time. Here's how:..." I took this as they were sending a replacement.

Fast forward another week and I get it back through the mail. I inspect it to find that it's the same one I sent in. No problem as long as it's issue was fixed. Plugged it up and found that it had been factory reset. Do the updates and get going. I had moved
everything to an external prior to sending my Xbox away so I didn't have to worry about re-installing. Well it started doing again. Except this time it's doing it more often than before, and this may be unrelated but I had lost connection to xbox live earlier
today so I power cycle and try to reconnect but my xbox wouldn't even turn on. I unplugged everything, waited for 2 minutes, and then plugged everything back in and no dice. Unplugged everything again and waited. This time when plugging it back up I just plugged
the HDMI and power cable. That time it worked, but still doing crazy disc drive stuff. Now out of warranty, I can't send it back without it costing me a third of the price of a new one.

I love my Xbox but dang the past few months have been rough.

This is getting ridiculous...

Xbox Live having issues has been frustrating. Generally when there is an Xbox Live service alert. I am hardly effected. Even on Christmas day I was able to get online. However, I just do not remember this being the case in 2006, 2007. Xbox Live was
hardly ever down. I wonder what the issues are? Perhaps it is MS unifying everything. I look forward to the new party chat update. A year in, and the inconsistencies are annoying. Just my opinion.

Is there anything else at all I can try? other than having to buy a new xbox or pay a ridiculous amount just to get the disc drive repaired?

This solution doesn't help. It's not a single disc, but all discs. My son got Nascar heat 4 and fresh out of the package were had this issue. As for repair, they want $250. How can you know how much a repair costs without even looking at it? I wouldn't
have a problem paint to get it repaired

1. had they not charged half the cost of a new console for a disc drive

2. Had this not been a constant issue due to cheap parts being used.

I thought Microsoft would've learned from their mistakes with the rrod on the 360, but they cheaped out on the disc drive on the one and want a ridiculous fee to fix it.

Hello,

There can be a couple of causes of this happening.

1. The disc drive is ramping up to read the disc that's in the disc drive. You should be able to lower the sound by installing a game to your console's hard drive.

2. Your console's fan's/vents are clogged with dust causing the disc drive to spin faster / fans to spin faster to dissipate the heat. To try and solve this, try to run a vacuum cleaner through the top of the vents of the Xbox 360 and try to play your game
again and see if it's ridiculously loud again.

If you still can't get it working properly then call Xbox Support and inform them of this.
