This is enough for a ban?

Hi.

Myself and my boyfriend both own Xbox's, and sometimes when he's been at my place, he'll buy dlc on his account but on my console. Then when he returns home, he'll redownload it. I've done it a few at his too, when I couldn't wait to get home to play the
ME3 dlc last year, I bought it on his console just so I could play it. I've heard this is ban-able because it counts a theft. I don't understand how. We're not swapping license transfers or anything, and we both have a copy of our profiles on both consoles.
So is this something we can get banned for? I'm really worried now. Thanks.

If you are within the 30 days or depending what the store says their return period is I guess if you wanted you can return it, but that's up to you though.

 

What you're doing probably won't get you banned, but nobody here can actually say 100%. Usually the people who are caught for marketplace theft are ones who have exploited the license transfer tool to "share" content with multiple people. Considering you
are and your boyfriend are just using two consoles it probably wouldn't be considered theft. It's similar to people like me who have 3 consoles in one house. I doubt they'd see it as theft going between the same consoles in my own house.

 

You should be fine, usually the people who get banned for that have done it very many times. I wouldn't be worried if I were you.
