It's possible that that gamertag is linked to a banned account which is why it is coming up as not allowed.

As it's a 4 letter tag i suspect it would of been taken years ago & at some point got into trouble & was banned.

If this is the case it may never be made available.

Yes im trying to return back to my old gamertag Zqfk. Im willing to pay but it says this gamertag isnt allowed. Why wouldnt it be allowed if i had it in the past?

then you will need to contact microsoft directly, there are only gamers here and the odd moderator.

i am born and raised in the UK, the word dugger means exactly what i said it does and sorry to say but if you have your name as soDugger then the meaning in some areas is soAnus, like i say the platform is u for universal and they have to take into account the different meaning in different countries.

we used to use that word in school decades ago and is still in use today.

I have Multiple friends and colleagues who live and work in the UK, And not ONE not one person has ever mentioned that to me. so it seems like that's rather lame excuse. I would like a rep from Microsoft to explain it.

There is NO rule or statement that says Surnames cant be used. I just looked up several Well known celebrities who have Their FULL names as Gamertags. This doesn't make any sense.
