    This is happening to me. and i just bought live today. i dont understand why it wont work.

    Hey there Glaceon311!

    Sorry to hear you are unable to connect to Xbox Live. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to try to get this issue sorted.

    Please give the following steps a shot:



    • Press the guide button on your controller.
    • Select Settings, System Settings, and then Network Settings.
    • Select the name of your wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a weird connection.
    • Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
    • If you are unable to connect to Xbox Live, the connection Test will alert you to where in the connection process the error occurred and tell you what type of error was encountered.
    • If no error is discovered then proceed to Download your profile.
    Please let us know if you were able connect to Xbox Live after trying the suggested steps.

    Any luck connecting to Xbox Live yet?

    If you still can't connect to Xbox Live and you have tried Mister Quimby's troubleshooting steps, you may have your Xbox console or profile banned from playing Live. Have you checked your emails linked to your Microsoft account?
