It is possible, just be aware that codes cannot be redeemed in a different region they were purchased, also note that your billing information MUST match the region you are in, you cannot set Canada as your account region then add a billing info from the
UK to try to purchase content

My 12 month xbox live cannot be redeemed because of the same error. Can not do anything about it. I have already bought two different codes from two different sellers (ebay), but both are "not valid in my region". That cannot be a coincidence. Need help,
