I bought a bundle in kohls that included a game pass ultimate. I tried redeeming it but it said to contact merchant like it said on the title. I’ve called the online store kohls twice and told me the same thing to call microsoft or xbox. I called xbox, i was on hold twice because they were trying to see what they could do. The second time i was put on hold, the phone call magically “ended”. I just don’t know what to do at this point and exhausted my options. I’m planning to go to the store but I feel like it’d be impossible for them to activate it because I feel like they would need a physical receipt and see if there’s a code that they could input if a card is bought. Just need some miracle help at this point. Thank you!

What if u forgot to tell them can u try to activate it without going bck to the store?

My name is Jonny and I will be assisting you today!

First, thank you so much for contacting us regarding your inquiry/ concern.

Cards are activated at the time of purchase. This isn't done by Xbox. The reason it NEEDS to be done at the time of purchase is simple. People would be able to stack up a ton of cards and walk out with them and then contact Xbox with this same scenario.

You will need to take your bill of sale back to the merchant and have them activate it by following the activation process.

However, if you do have the bill of sale and all numbers match on the cards barcode and the receipt, then I can escalate this ticket for you so those numbers can be matched up and the card can be investigated.

But, i highly reccomend you ask the retailer you bought it from to actually activate it. You aren't refunding it so the "all sales final" will NOT matter. You may want to speak with their manager as you arent asking for a refund. You are requesting something you purchased.

you need to contact the place you purchased from as they did not activate the card at the register/till
