"This app failed to launch because its trial license has expired."

I get this error on multiple games. On this occasion it's on 'Human Fall Flat', previously I was getting the same error on 'Age of Empires: Definitive Edition'.

As seen in the image, I get the error when trying to launch the game.

I have already gone through the usual Repair & Reset options on the games, and neither fixed the issue.

Anyone able to provide any further help on what could solve it?

Thanks, and I've tried that, too. Unfortunately, for me, it doesn't work. It takes, like you said, about 5 seconds and gets to 100% but then throws an error (0x8007139f) saying "Something unexpected happened." So for my use case, the only solution that seems to actually work is to uninstall the game and then reinstall it. And about half the time, if I don't restart the machine between the uninstall and the reinstall, it'll download all of the assets and give me that same error and I end up having to uninstall again anyway.

"Verify And Repair" worked for my with 7 Days to Die on Gamepass.

I had this same problem and instead of uninstalling, I tried to "Verify And Repair" the files which fixed it for me. only took about 5 seconds.
From XBox app, Right-click the game with the problem, go to Manage > Files > Verify And Repair.

I've tried through the Xbox app, and from the desktop shortcut. I'm on Windows 11.

I've tried the usual troubleshooting of going to the app's advanced settings and pressing 'repair' and 'reset' on them. Neither did anything and I'm still getting the error.
