    This account is blocked from playing online


    I have two sons who belong to our family Gold pass on the Xbox. One son can play Fortnite, however, the other receives the error "this account is blocked from playing online" I have checked security settings and even set it to adult. But still unable
    to get this to work. Any ideas?

    Only 18+ accounts can play online. A minor's account is blocked by default from playing online

    Hi, is your fried able to play other games online ? It may be that he was suspended from playing that specific game for whatever reason.

    If your friends account is under parental controls then the parent account would need to sign in and enable multiplayer gaming on your friends account if that is blocked, also have your friend check the privacy & online safety settings on the account as
    your friend may have inadvertently blocked multiplayer gaming.

    All information about account suspensions can be found by logging in to
    http://enforcement.xbox.com    . From there, you can review the details of your suspension(s) and, if eligible, you may submit a case review.

    A communication suspension globally mutes voice/messaging functionality on your account, but would still let you play multiplayer matches. The only things I can guess is that you either have a regular suspension, or there is a
    privacy setting on your account that blocks you from going online for multiplayer.
