    Third XBox One Controller Not Working Properly


    We are trying to play with three players on my daughter's Xbox One. However, when we try to add a third controller, the joystick and direction buttons won't move anything on screen. This happens both in the Xbox menu and when two players are in the middle of the game, ie Minecraft

    Clear your console cache and try again.

    Follow this path, select ''full shutdown'', remove the power cable from the console for 10s, and turn the console on again.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power mode & startup.

    If that doesn't work reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

    Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

    In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

    To reset the console>

    Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

    **Do not reset your console without having your email and password.**

    SaphDartis, unfortunately the new accessories app is only compatible with Xbox One controllers and new controllers.

    As you said, the latest firmware for xbox controller is the one that was released on 2019.

    If your controller is not working properly with Elden Ring or newer games this means that developers doesn't fully support 360 controllers now.

    In situations like this you could try using a third party tool like xinput to see if you're able to play properly with the controller.

    But other than that there is not much that you can do due to Xbox 360 and all things related to it are not supported now

    How come once I connect a headset to one of my controllers, I can't use the headset for other controllers?

    I've been having trouble with my mic not working properly on one of my controllers. I figured out that my controller was the reason why my mic sounded bad. I tried to connect my mic with a better working controller and I couldn't talk. I looked at all the
    settings and couldn't find an solution. I think the mic is linked to the other bad controller in some way.

    is it an Xbox Official Headset (or Stereo Headset) or a third-party one? Do you use an adaptor or do use the 3,5mm jack on the controller?

    In this case, the controller is most likely the issue.

    You can reach out to the
