    third party headset stopped being recognised by Xbox One


    Hi has anyone had any issue with a third party headset not being recognised by the Xbox one.

    The same headset was working with the Xbox One. It is brand new and works on an Xbox one S and other devices.I bought a new controller as wel so it is not the connectionl. I have contacted Xbox without a lot of help.

    It is a Astro A10. One guy I spoke to said they had a software issue but couldn't help me

    Hello Supatease,

    Sorry for the issue with your headset, There are many factors to headsets working correctly. The biggest is if the headset is first party or a third party headset. This makes a big difference due to updates will always work for first party headsets but
    not so much for third party headsets due to being made by other developers. You can try the

    Headset troubleshooter     also when you went to update it even though it said was up to date. Did you attempt to update the controller?

    Have you tested the scenario of using the new controller on the
    old xbox one s ?

    Have you updated the controller to the latest firmware ?

    Updated Firmware and Xbox software up to date

    When the headset is connected _ Kinect Devices it just skips over volume etc

    The X Box is no longer recognising it

    What is strange is exactly the same thing happened on Xbox s . I bought a new controller that started working and Xbox one stopped. Weird

    Hello Xbox12321,

    Sorry for the issue with the headset. First off the turtle beach are not licensed by Microsoft, they are a third party headset that are compatible with the Xbox. There have been issues with third party headsets not being recognized on the controller/console.
    Make sure first that the controller is completely up to date. Can also
    try the troubleshooter     to see if it helps.
