    Thinking of Buying X1 for TV features


    I'm thinking of getting an Xbox One to replace my Google TV on Logitech Revue.

    Concerns: Is picture quality and surround sound just as good as straight from the cable box like Google TV?

    smart TV question with Xbox One

    We need a new TV, and I was thinking of buying a Samsung smart TV. However, I am also thinking about buying an XBOX One. Should I bother getting a smart tv, or would the smart tv features be a waste because the XBOX one would have all those features (like
    streaming, web browsing, etc). In summary, if you have an XBOX one, is there any reason to buy a smart tv?

    We need a new TV, and I was thinking of buying a Samsung smart TV. However, I am also thinking about buying an XBOX One. Should I bother getting a smart tv, or would the smart tv features be a waste because the XBOX one would have all those features (like
    streaming, web browsing, etc). In summary, if you have an XBOX one, is there any reason to buy a smart tv? Or should I buy a non-smart TV? (Although the smart tvs are not much more expensive than the non smart tvs. )

    Don't do it. Multiple issues with audio and video and there is not a timeframe fix available from Microsoft. Just read the live tv forums.

    I have had no issues with mine. No changes in video quality and no audio issues. The issues people are talking about are isolated incidents. But, I guess that means there is a possibility it can happen to you with audio or video issues. So, ultimately up
    to you(obviously).

    XBox "ONE"

    In Australia we are starting to get some TV channel apps on the 360 dash for catch up TV, which I think is kind of handy. So the X1 will still make use of TV features without a cable box.

    People that don't have xbox live.

    Blinkey, what the point of buying x1 if you are not playing games on it? TV? As far as I know that feature is restricted to be used only by Americans for atleast six months after launch, then there is the fact that x1 doesn't replace any of your media devices.
    As such if you are not playing games on it all the extra features are a waste of money
