Think I understand the problem now !

Sorry that I have to open a new thread about the Dishonored issue but thanks to your answer I think I do understand the mayor problem about the language issue of that game now;

The publicher submitted different versions to Microsoft !

In the original thread You suggested that the language of the Defintive Edition is transfered by the digital version of the 360 version and the 360 version is not offered in german. But that's not true ! It seems that Bethesda submitted different versions
to Microsoft.

Here is the
LINK to the offer of Dishonored 360 in the US store. Under "Overview" you find the following information;

"The Games on Demand version supports English, French, Spanish."

Here is what is shown when You follow the
LINK to the german store ! Under "Übersicht " you get this;

" Die Games on Demand-Version unterstützt Französisch, Italienisch, Deutsch, Spanisch" (don't really have to translate that, right ? ; ) )

So the upload of the Definitive Edition in the german and austrian store was based on the version of the 360 version in the US store !

As Bethesda already answered, they gave the right version(s) to Microsoft, but MS put the wrong version to the german and austrian stores.

I hope these informations help to solve this issue ! Wouldn't it a pity if they localised the game and then it's not offered ?! ; )

most of the people on xbox live must be kiddies due to they have no clue on playing objective games....It amazes me how many kids just run and gun for the kills and doesn't attempt to do the objectives. I play a lot of KC, and kids leave tags all over the
place and that's when I tell the whole lobby, "If you guys aren't gonna play the objectives and just run around like chickens with their heads cut off, the go play Free For All"...

If you're gonna play objective games, then do the damned objectives!!!!! Otherwise that's why they made Free For All...

I've stuck to mainly TDM as well OP and like you, I ventured out into Chaos Moshpit. It's a great playlist. I feel like a much better player for having to complete objectives other than slaying my opponents. If you're struggling in Dem., try Flak Jacket,
Toughness, and Tac Mask and an AR if you don't have that set-up already. It's a lot easier getting objectives if you can kill your enemies from a distance.

People on Twitch broadcast themselves and their teams doing pubs in KC and going 80-5 while playing for the objective, but stopping at 95 tags or so just so they can pad their K/Ds. If you want to do well in an objective game AND win consistently, my suggestion
is to have at least two other good players who are partied up with you. It's so much more fun if you know you're not the only one on the team who can put some work in.

 

Indeed the game supports german language as well, yet your console region should be set to Germany and your default language should be set to german in order to play Dishonored in that language.

Dishonored (360) is not the problem ! The Definitive Edition (ONE) is !

The problem is, that Bethesda published an "english, french, spanish" version and a "french, italian, german, spanish" version. But the language for the Definitive Edition in the german and austrian store was based on the "english, french, spanish" version.

So if the game does not support the language, it doesn't matter what your console is set to !

Let's just wait what the Support will tell us ! ; )

first of all I don't own this game (have the 360 retail version). I just write here for those geman customers who don't speak english.

The one who reached out to the german Bethesda support posted the answer at july 9th (LINK).

As I mentioned in the last thread, why should we the customres take care of it ?

We have a Microsoft console and purchase in the Microsoft store and we don't really care who is responsible for whatever. !

If we reach out to the Publishers, we are send from pillar to post and back. Don't You agree that it should be the job of
Microsoft to take care of the store? And I'm quite sure Your word has much more influence then ours.

Maybe I'm a little naive to think that it should be the interest from
Microsoft that the shop works right and the right versions are uploaded (from whomever).

Btw meanwhile many of those german customers who purchased the game from the german store contacted the german telephone support and gave back the game !
