I got my xbox one two days ago and I love it , but I don't have unlimited internet so im limited to 15 gb a month , so as soon as I download 15gb my internet gets shutdown , so I cant afford to have my xbox one connected to the internet all the time , so
what I really want from Microsoft right now is to plz let me get achivements while im offline , there is no way I will be able to download a 13 + gb update to deadrising 3 just to be able to get achievments , I kno that once I sign into xbox live the achivements
themselves will start to pop up , but that's something that really bugs me about the xbox one , its not fair that me a loyal costumer who just bought the xbox 360 e , and the xbox one should have to put up with that always connected thing ,so Microsoft if
your reading this plzzzz for the love of gaming plz allow offline achivements in an upcoming patch , I chose xbox over ps4 , so now do me a favour and listen to me . thanks for reading ........ also if somebody knows something about offline achivements or
if they will be able to be earned offline plz leave me a message here

Yep, can't wait till they allow you to play with a keyboard and mouse on the XBOne. So much better than a controller. Yes, I get that I can play on PC if I want that but I don't have my PC hooked up to my 60 inch 4K TV in the living room...

 

Only 15 GB a month that sucks that's not even a single digital game. I have a cap too but mine is 60GB

 

The achievements will pop when you connect to LIVE, what's the issue?

Also, 15 GB is insanely bad. You have an evil pre-historic ISP. Switch, or cough up the money for a proper connection if you can afford a $500 console and games.

 

Why hasn't anyone got unlimited broadband? It's cheap as chips.

 

Wow, 15GB is practically nothing. I have a data cap, too, but it's 300GB.

 

i had unlimited, then my cable ISP started enforcing a 250gb, i kept going over so i had to upgrade my speeds to get a 350gb limit. i can't wait until Google rolls out fiber to my area... just a couple hundred more miles.

 

yeah 15GB is insanely low. and downloading large updates like that will happen in any next gen console. its not an xbox issue its your internet. My only suggestion is download it on a day where you aren't going to be home much

 

guys im living in central America and the unlimited internet here is really freaking over priced like 500 or more dollars a month , I cant afford that with my current job , ill be moving back to florida soon that's when I will get unlimited internet , but
in the mean time all im asking for is the ability to get offline achivements , is that so hard to program in a patch ?

 

Yeah i didnt know you couldnt get achievements if you weren't online that's a bit harsh, no achievements through isp downtime, if you move house you'd be stuck for as long as it took to get internet etc and what about them poor servicemen on submarines who
were told to get the 360 lol

Love how these threads always turn into willy waving about peoples speeds and bandwidths, i get this so should you, i can afford this so you should be able to, people own the connections they own for whatever reasons, through cost, limitations of isps or
location etc etc and being able to spend 420 quid on a console doesnt instantly mean you have money to burn, you might have had to save hard, do overtime, take on debt, beg a relative and a whole host of other various things to get your console

I dont see the need to ALWAYS be online unless you want the user usage data, i see no other reason for keeping the console online 24/7 if its not running DRM/license checking etc.

 

I think people in the UK, think everywhere in the world has a similar setup, although it does surprised me how backward the US internet systems seem to be.

In the UK basic internet with restrictions is exceptionally cheap, going unlimited isn't expensive and fibre optic isn't overly expensive.

 

I hate to say this.. but why buy a "connected" console... knowing you have a cap on your internet?.. and then expect said company to change because of your situation? I understand.. maybe you cannot afford it.. it is not available... etc etc etc... but
seriously...bad consumer knowledge.... dont buy a jet ski if you live in the desert....

 

Why not start downloading the update on the last night of your internet, if you time it right you'll only use a few Gb of your next month's allowance.

Also, didn't realise internet was so expensive in the states, I'm in the UK and I pay £18 (about $25) a month and that include line rental, uncapped allowance and download speed of 10 Mb down 1 Mb up. Not the fastest out their but it's the fastest I can
get where I live, fingers crossed fibre will be brought out here soon.

 

I bought the xbox one cause im a huge halo fan , and no way in hell am I gonna miss out on halo 5 or whatever halo remaster comes out this year
