Things in games that make you cringe.

1 - Guns that magically stick to the player's back

2 - Loading a new magazine that has no visible rounds inside it

3 - Much like number one, swords that stick on the players back with no scabbard.

4 - Interacting with control panels, doors,etc with your mind instead of using your hands

5 - Auto health regeneration with no explanation to as how its happening.

6 - FPS games where you have no feet, just a torso floating around with a gun.

7 - Decaying blood and bodies, bullet holes effects and any damage to the environment.

8 - Fighting games with no dedicated block button

9 - Games mechanics held hostage by skill points, IE leveling up & picking a skill that lets you jump,punch or vault over objects.

10 - Games that still use words like "GAME OVER" and " CONTINUE" this isnt 1984 anymore.

For now that's all I can think of. I swear to god I had a huge list of things but cant remember them all atm. Please I am curious to what certain things in games that annoy you guys, the things that make you roll your eyes,the things that make you scream
out loud WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?

"What say you?" makes me cringe when I hear it. I'm not sure why?

 

Jumping in FPS games,especially when you have no visible feet on your character.

If you have to do some god awfull platform section in a FPS it's so awkward

Respawning enemies.Argghh,i've just killed everyone it that room,there's only one way in or out so where the hell did you come from????

 

Looking for all the riddler trophies in Arkham knight.

 

Random players with an entire lack of common sense, or even a basic understanding of teamwork...

Oh and a lot of stuff in the Black Ops 3 beta was pretty bad, like after a kill my character said "killed that camper", really!? *** that was cheesy...

 

Cheesy voice-acting in Black Ops 3.

Graphic sexual content in some games like GTA, The Witcher, etc.

 

^Ahhhh games trying to be sexy is a good one, it's always just awkward more than anything...

 

Open world games that do not offer coop.

Madden not having coop (same team)

Half the fun of video games is playing with your friends.

 

What makes ME cringe in a game?

A guy who notices me in his multiplayer game and then proceeds to harass the
$%!@ out of me because in his mind I'm obviously just there because I'm looking for a boyfriend. (guys will not understand this)

 

Games with only local co-op, no online.

Open world games with little help on navigation (GTA SA for example). I hate being lost in games.

Rage quitters in games with no penalty or reward for you. especially in games that are only 2 players.

 

I'm usually not bothered by unrealistic things in video games but in Skyrim there were two things that reeeeally got to me:

1. That all of the 50-60 of the more communicative characters in the game (husbands, wives, housecarls, quest givers and companions) all seemed to be divided by just three voice actors with extremely distinct voices and accents.

In Skyrim, my husband, housecarl AND companion ALL had the same voice actor...and not just that, but they all said the same comments. REALLLLLY hope they don't do this in a subsequent ES game.

2. Adding to that, Skyrim companions were little more than a cardboard cutout character with 4 lines of commentary and just zero depth. Beth is fantastic at creating highly realistic environments that just take your breath away and next to your character
stands a pull string puppet with one of four comments that you've heard 1000 times.

I was a bit more intrigued by my spectral assassin, Lucien who had a wonderfully deep, haunting voice and a bit more to say than the average companion....however, because I used him so much throughout the game, I heard the line "Have you heard the tale of
Mathieu Bellamont, and the great treachery of Cheydinhal? Kill a boy's mother, and vengeance festers in the son..." about...hmmm....10,000 times? I would even try to outrun him at times when he would randomly start talking about Mathieu again....and again!


But in a refreshing contrast to Skyrim, Dragon Age Inquisition my companions were talking, joking and making lots of random commentary about certain locations or situations as we traveled. Sometimes certain characters didn't get along very well so they
would make snide remarks toward each other or even ask questions. A couple of my characters ended up falling for each other so they would make romantic comments. They had an incredible amount of depth which has always been one of my favorite aspect of Bioware
games beginning for me with Knights of the Old Republic.

 

Some of the conversations in Inquisition were quite funny

 

indeed. Sometimes I would just change my combination of companions just to hear what they would start randomly talking about. Bioware brings characters to life and Beth gives you paper dolls.

 

Lol,yeah,i did the same.

Only really kept Sara in my party because of the stuff she came out with.
