I have a question. Why do we have to pay xbox live gold every month to play fortnite.? The ps4 users dont have to pay for ps plus to play fortnite. So can you guys let us play fortnite without xbox live gold, please?

So my little sister bought the latest season of Fortnite Battle Royal... She spent money from my card and on my xbox. The sad thing about it is that I do not play Fortnite. What should I do. I want my money back.

Hi. I'm playing Fortnite and I don't understand, why i must have Gold membership to play it, when the Fortnite Is free to play game. Yesterday I wrote on Xbox support And they told me write about it on our Forum. There is a chance that they will make vote
about free fortnite. It would be playable without gold.

 

I agree, I think that it is stupid that we can't play this free-to-play game without purchasing an Xbox gold subscription.

Paying the monthly subscription of xbox live allows you to have a broad range of activities/games/apps to play around with, You are paying to enjoy all these features and not just to play one game...With that being said, i agree in some sense that you are
paying for a game thats supposed to be free... BUT we cant complain with all the stuff we get with xbox live gold and the game pass!

I'm sorry you feel that way, but paying for Xboxlive isn't just for online play. Like WaveyJB said you get a whole host of other features for having the service. In my opinion it is well worth the price!

 

The Xbox Live service is the platform for everyone that wants to play online on the Xbox.

This also ensures in my opinion that if there is bad behavior or a toxic player, they are less likely to become abusive as they can be blocked and banned from the system.

Plus there are also many other features to having GOLD on top of just playing online.

 

Xbox Live Gold allows you to play online with friends, but it is more than that. It gives you discounts on other game purchases and free games every month!
