Thief / Tomb Raider Half Price for XB1 (DIGI)

Wonder if there will be part refunds for any suckers that paid over the odds?

 

I'm torn if I want to get this or not. It's a killer deal though. I'm interested in Thief but I've heard different things

@Scratch... Thief isn't that bad a game actually, although I seem to spend a lot of time just exploring and robbing random houses.

The graphics are nice enough, but in places the textures don't stand up well to close scrutiny.

My only real complaint would be that the AI can be a bit random when it comes to spotting you... sometimes you can be a foot away and they'll be oblivious, other times they'll see you from the other side of a room or courtyard, but on the whole well worth
the sale price.

 

Agreed! Too many loading screens in the hub town is my only complaint, some of the levels are proper creepy!

 

Downloaded Tomb Raider. Enjoying it, although why do games have collectables! I am spending most my time looking for these (helpful with the map) but I guess I am getting more out of the game.

 

Webbo same here. Very much enjoying it at the moment. Collectibles are great so long as they keep adding to my XP so I can get more skill points. I think I have nearly completed it but will have to go back and finish side quests ect..

Over all, a fantastic game.

 

Cloud - Yeah, as long as they reward you with something, I don't really mind collecting. I think when things are thrown in there for no reason other than say an achievement, then that's annoying.

 

The only game I've spent time collecting things on was Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

That game pushed me to the brink and it is something I'll never repeat. These days I only get a collectable if it is not out of my way or if it is required to progress.

 

Webbo, I hear ya. I mean there is an achievement for it somewhere, I am sure of it. Though luckily the camp travel thing is there to make it easier. Not something I would do if I didn't want to max out this game (which I do). I just hope the MP is used.
I saw a good 10+ achievements for it :/

Vote, web of shadows was pretty good. I played it on the wii (bugs aside) it was a good game. I don't like games that put collectibles so so far out the way, though with TR I personally thing the tone is just right. Having some trouble locating the tombs
though :/

Oh and I completed this last night. I was very satisfied with it. Bring on the sequel!
