These Spam messages/account are getting ridiculous now

I get them on a regular basis , either for some lame raffle or FIFA coins , changing settings to friends only is not an option for me as I play a lot of Destiny which requires players to send invites and messages to other randoms in order to get a team together
.

I'm tempted to just keep spamming replys of utter nonsense back to them , but I suspect there isn't an end user but some sort of bot on the other end .

 

I got two yesterday while playing destiny. I just reported and blocked them.

 

The amount that I'm getting is getting ridiculous. They really need to start monitoring this. It's easy to tell when someone is sending out the same message to mass amounts of people, but MS doesn't seem to care

 

i have been reciving at least one a day from [Mod Removed] I dont understand why microsoft doesnt just go after the sites they starting to type them funny to hide thats its spam

 

^I believe the reports are all automated but someone does take a look at it depending on the amount of reports or whatnot (I forget the specifics).

All we can do is just report, block them (not that, that matter since they just open a new account each time), and just wait for them to be banned and wait for Microsoft to update/change the way one makes an account to put in countermeasures for bots --
as tedious as that sounds.

 

thats why you go after the owners if the sites because the live accounts are automated

 

^that wouldn't change anything. Changing the way a Live account is created would rectify this. Going after the owner of all the bots will allow others to take their place.

 

Today at 3:00 pm I get one of those spam message. I report it and block it.

 

I would like to ask to not post the links which are shown in the spam messages, even if it's for showing users to watch out for those sites, someone might click it and since they are possibly malicious or phishing sites things might turn out bad for that

I got one a while back and replied to it and someone posing as the Windows general manager sent me a message asking for my credentials to verify something and if I didn't within 2 hours, my account would be blocked. I immediately reported it (after messing
with the person for about 10 mins) and I don't believe hes been online since. What Windows should do is ban the IP address of these people to stop them from being able to connect at all. Reporting and banning individual gamertags isn't going to do anything.
what would you do if your gamertag got banned? Make another one, right? well its the same concept here. knowing their account would get banned, they make a new gamertag. if they see these reports coming in and theyre all linked to a specific IP address, block
the IP address or even brick their system, assuming its all from the same system. I can guarantee the problem would die down quickly. if it hasn't stopped within 30 days, im changing my gamertag and see if this will solve my issue.

What im assuming happens if you go to a site where youd probably end up filling out a survey or sign up form using your email that could be linked with your gamertag. im assuming they would have some way of getting your password from that point and would
get into your account. Theyre only using survey sites to win an Xbox 1 and some gift card site for Papa Johns. otherwise that's all you can do until xbox finally gets serious

 

maybe they need to get rid of silver being able to message. cant plau with your frinds with silver so why even be able to message we have phones and facebook
