These connection issues are getting old already...

This is the fourth time this month where we cant sign in to our Xbox One. I bought this $500 console with the expectation that it would work whenever I try to play. Here we are with repeated service barriers on something that were paying for, which is absolutely
absurd. If there will continue to be such problems then make the Live service free, or at least refund us for each of the days where we cannot play due to Microsoft's failures.

Another thing, why give us free games if your'e keeping the same games up for free 2 months in a row? Like seriously, who actually cared about Max: The Curse of Brotherhood? Other than 5 year olds, but seriously, no more free kid games. This console is directed
towards adults considering that 75% of the games released are T or M rated.

Lastly, the Xbox One is supposedly the "pride and joy" of Microsoft, yet why is it plagued with your apathetic ignorance to the issues associated with something so simple as signing in to Xbox live from the console? If you really cared about us and the One,
why do we have issues literally weekly? Its ridiculous to think that you fail to cater to your users needs and wants. There are only like 10 total games on the One, excluding the failed indie games. Indie games before were usually $1-$5, but now you're selling
    them at $15-$20 each.

Fix this console and fix your attitude already, this console is fresh and you're ruining it before it even has a chance. I'm so disappointed with this facade.

    :)

These are all connection issues. When it comes to purchases, that's not something we can control. We are working on getting this resolved. Thanks! These connection issues are getting old already... :)

If you hate the Xbox One so much, why do you bother supporting it?

You hate the prices of indie games, you hate Games with Gold, you hate Microsofts "attitude", and it sounds like you just hate everything about it....

I agree. I'm *** beyond all reason. I finally bought the xbox one in May hoping that this would be a worthwhile investment. However, as the months have gone by there have been more and more issues and now I can't even sign into xbox live? AGAIN! Why sell
a console if you can't even provide the means to play online or sign in to play your damn games that are saved onto your hard drive? I'm regretting my decision to the point that I'm willing to cancel my subscription to live and trade in my xbone for a ps4.
I know that has issues too but this is getting ridiculous xbox. A few days ago we couldn't view our friends list. There is always something new that is wrong with this brick of a box. And every game that I play has at least one achievement glitch on me for
one reason or another with no explanation as to why. This is the next generation of gaming and yet all we do is pay to stare at error messages. Well xbox I'm tired of your lack explanations as to why there are so many errors, and I'm done paying for your cheap
uncaring service. 4 times in 30 days that xbox live goes down. That's over 10% of the month you owe us back but hey the only company I've seen to actually care when their service went out was psn and they gave their users free games as repayment for it going
down and that was when psn was FREE!!!

Four outages in a month on a system that requires the service to be able to do anything is a major problem. I'm not going to make any crazy statements about leaving or any of that - I'm just going to complain and voice my displeasure.

I use my XBox to access to access Netflix and XBox music, both of which I pay for in addition to Gold. Not being able to use any of these is not making me very happy.

Darth Nikana = possible Microsoft crony.

I agree with Mr Ragez. Its really ridiculous how many problems there have been with this console and Xbox Live for Xbox One. I have a PlayStation 4 as well and since launch, I have had absolutely 0 connectivity or stability problems with it. I can't say
    the same for Xbox One.

I was simply asking if he hates XBox so much, why he still supports it. SO that makes me a "crony." Riiighttt

I don't know about you Darth Nikana, but after a long day of work one the things I usually look forward to is sitting down for a few hours of some TitanFall mayhem. Its the highlight of my day and I don't get a lot of time to enjoy it. Now, to come home
and find out that I can't play the $85 game I bought on my $500 console, all because my $60 yearly console service is down.. yeah.. that kind of has a tendency to irritate the hell out of me. If they can't give me some type of SLA for Xbox Live that guarantees
me at minimum 99% uptime than basically I own a $500 shiny black brick and that *** me off... Correction.. I own two $500 shiny black bricks.

"Oops, something wrong there, we aren't quite sure what happened" what the hell is this *** explanation for why my Xbox One has constant issues? Seriously, every day there is a reason I have to disconnect my power supply to get this Xbox POS to work. And
most of the time, that doesn't even help! I can't log in, the Friends app isn't working, the party chat doesn't work properly, internet connection problems. These issues happen almost daily. Currently, I truly regret buying an Xbox One. The 360 worked beautifully
compared to this sorry excuse for a "next gen" console.

Oh and I forgot to mention the issue with actually shutting off your One. EVERY time I try to turn it off the console will shut down, but the light will remain on and the console never actually shuts off. I then proceed to unplug the power supply, and when
I plug it back in the console turns itself on automatically, then takes 5 minutes to start up, and then signs me in offline and says that my network isnt connected, even though it is. This is a problem that I have consistently encountered since I got this
console. Xbox seems to be aware of these problems, yet does nothing to fix them permanently.

Hey Ragez, I agree with you. It's a huge bummer that the service keeps going down so often. Xbox LIVE is a service we pay for, and having it go down this often is depressing. In the business world companies that pay for cloud services expect a certain percentage
of uptime, and the only positive thing I hope these outages produce is an update of the infrastructure that makes it finally solid.

I'm also disappointed in your disparaging remarks to the free games provided with Xbox LIVE. Xbox LIVE has always been worth the investment for a lot of years now without the additional free games. The $60/year pays to help keep the infrastructure up and
running (although it doesn't seem to help recently). Microsoft didn't have to add free games to the service. Not only did they add it, they didn't increase the Xbox LIVE cost. They gave you games for FREE. But instead of being grateful, you're ranting on their
website about being entitled to the games YOU think they should offer for FREE. The only thing you're entitled to is a kick in the balls, and I'll give that to you for FREE if you don't stop acting like a 2 year old. Max is not a 5 year old kid game. I enjoyed
playing it, as well as Guacamelee, for FREE, and I'm GRATEFUL that I didn't have to pay for it. If they're not the games you want to play, you're not forced to play them, let alone forced to PAY for them.

So yea, the down time with Xbox LIVE is inconvenient and troublesome, but so is your attitude about what you think you deserve. If you're not getting all the freebies you think you're entitled to with Xbox, then sell your system and go leech off of Sony
and be a part of the mess that is moving that company to bankruptcy.

I'm not saying I'm entitled to anything, I'm simply saying that their course of action with the free games is highly illogical considering the overwhelming majority of players are adults. If you look at Sony's free games, they're getting really great first
party games. Yet here we are getting old outdated third and second party games. They just seem to be marketing Games with Gold as a way to just get more users.

That's a fair perspective. I don't think we all know how games can be offered for free. It has to cost someone something. Do publishers give Microsoft and Sony the right to offer them for free, and if so, what do they get out of it? Brand awareness? Some
sort of perk on future titles? Perhaps Microsoft and Sony have to pony up money to make them free. Maybe there's enough room in the $60 / year console service budget to pay publishers per download of a game. Either way, I have no clue how Microsoft or Sony
determine what games they can offer for free without it making sense business-wise. I think the majority of gamers have no clue as well. Companies don't just give things away unless it makes sense in the long run, at least that's how successful companies operate
(Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo ... they're all in it to keep their companies running no matter what their PR spin is).

Anyhow, you obviously have a right to your opinion. I'm just curious what you think constitutes a game as "adult"? Is it the characters in a game (child-like, cartoony), how much cursing / nudity / blood is portrayed? The rating? Believe me, I think it would
be awesome if they would offer Ryse or Dead Rising 3 some month with Games with Gold, and I only consider those adult games because of the mature content. But I can easily enjoy Max and Guacamelee as much as other full priced single player games.

But I understand what you're saying. It's a good question on how both Microsoft and Sony determine what games they *want* to offer for free. Maybe gamers should be asking Microsoft to offer a place to vote on a list of games they would want offered in Games
with Gold. Phil Spencer seems to appear sincere in wanting to follow up on gamer requests. If enough people ask for it, and Microsoft can do it, then maybe that's a step in the right direction to getting games that gamers want to play from Games with Gold.
    Just a thought.
