I'm afraid that when a tag is permanently banned from the service there is no information on when or if that tag would be released.

Some times its its bec if a gamer tag was already used and banned in the past noone can use that tag. That even goes for some bans that involve people falsely reporting tags. They were suppose to change it with the gamer tag update but they might still
have a banned tag list

While Suppa is right, the clan tag thing is not mod, hack or anything else, he is incorrect in stating that 402's tweet was in relation to it. This was a sweep of the leaderboards, not some clan tag thing.

The only people being banned are those with colored GT's, which the supporters of "ban the clan tag glitchers" like to use to confuse the issue.

There are reasons why this happens. One reason is that a previous owner of the tag has had it banned for some reason. If this is the case then it would not be available and there is no way of telling when it would be released.

Another reason is that the tag is being used for another service. Microsoft has many services in their family. These services use gamertags as well and if they are being used for one service they cannot be used for others.
