There's no reason at all to own an Xbox One compared to a PC

At least the 360 was a great system with lots of great exclusives and the graphics weren't outdated immediately at launch. The Xbone lacks graphical power and exclusives. What upcoming Xbox One exclusives are worth buying this system over a medium range
PC? Outside of a very small amount of mostly North American corporate slaves, who else bought the Xbone? It's a low end PC, nothing more.

How powerful is the XB1?

Current gen consoles can be compared to a mid-range PC. i5 processor (at best) with a $150 video card in it. That's my observation so far. I could be way off. Have yet to be impressed. I mainly game on PC, and have seen no reason to change that.

I can't wait to see a comparison of titan fall running on the PC at 1440p compared to the xbox one at 720p.

 

The ONLY reason I bought an xbone was for Quantum Break, about 3 weeks after I got it they announced it for PC. I'll play it and then sell the console. I'm not a fan of Halo or Gears and with Forza going to PC now I see zero reason to own the console.

 

I bought XBOX1 cause the 360 was so outdated. Playing it for 8 years got old. But I gamed so much that gaming now days gets old fast. ARK is only game that keeps me occupied.

 

I'm sick of PC holding back games on the XBox ONE.

Just look at "Fallout 4".

They kept the specs dumbed down so it would run on PC and it looked like little more than a "Fallout 3 emulator".

In the meantime the XBox ONE is putting out games like "Ryse: Son of Rome", "Forza 5 & 6".

The trouble with the PC is that you spend a ton, fine tune the game to run better than real life and it's only good for that game or a couple.

Then it's back to the upgrade tree.

If you had told me that I would be playing "Skyrim" on my XBox 360 when "Oblivion" launched I would have laughed at you but they still managed to do it.

If you tried to play "Skyrim" on your PC that you played "Oblivion" on then other PC gamers are laughing at you.

At the end of the day I've yet to see a PC run as many different games as fluidly, solidly and consistently and beautifully as the XBox ONE at all, nevermind for the same price.

People own consoles to play games.

People own PC's to try and boast about having the specs to display games at a higher resolution than real life, all behind the comfortable cover of internet anonymity.

 

I bought the Xbox One simply to play games on. I use my PCs for all together different purposes and I don't want to mix the two. I think the One does a great job and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

 

I agree with Az. I hate gaming on pc. I'm no pc geek and I don't want to tweak every game I buy just to get it run optimally. Plus don't wanna buy graphics card every couple years. You can keep your pc and I'll continue to play Xbone. Plus I like the ease
of connectivity with friends.

 

Same here. Who wants to upgrade a PC every so often to play the newest shooter. People always hype up PC gaming and say master race. Yet PC games look dead. Heck ARK sold more copies on XBOX1 like 1 million first week and topped PC sales. Also consoles
slowly catching up with players in servers like Battlefields.

1. I've owned my PC since 2013 and haven't upgraded once since then, it still runs all modern games perfectly.

2. PC games look dead? Do you mean visually? or in sales? or in general popularity?

-Visually you can get up to 4K 60fps on PC, meanwhile Xbone struggles to hit 1080p 60fps in really any graphically demanding game. Some games it can't even hit 1080p period.

-In sales there are sooooo soooo many more games on PC than there are on console it's hilarious to even try to compare. Rise of the Tomb Raider for instance sold 3x as much on PC already than it did on the Xbone.

-General Popularity: Over a year ago Steam said it had over 125 million ACTIVE users (users who have been online in the past 2 weeks and have bought a game on Steam) Also League of Legends alone had 67 Million Monthly users in Jan of 2014. It's safe to say
that number is probably up over 100 Million since it has been 26 months. Just between Steam and League (and not counting Origin, Uplay, WoW, Minecraft and all the other thousands of games not on

Steam) that's roughly about 250 Million+ PC gamers just in Steam and LoL alone.

3. ARK: Survival Evolved: This was/is a terrible game and that's why PC players don't support it. Meanwhile on your "beautiful" Xbone it runs at 612p 14 FPS. LOL ENOUGH SAID!

 

To each their own. I don't see the point in upgrading a PC graphic card every so many years to play it at the highest settings. Seems pointless. Heck remember my first own desk top way back in the day with Windows 98. I updated the RAM like first month
cause it was so outdated yet I just bought it. Seems like buying PC seems like they make powerful games just to force you to upgrade your rig. Then if motherboard and everything all intergraded which seemed most my purchases were. Then if I wanted something
better would of needed new mother board and what not. Then if the tower wasnt right would of needed one of them to. Heck this lap top I'm using now is only 3 years old but going by PC gaming standards its nothing more then a web browser.

 

If the XBox ONE wasn't outperforming your PC you'd be enjoying a better experience on your PC instead of taking a break from that better experience to rage on the official XBox Forums trying to tell people they shouldn't be enjoying their XBox ONE.

Nice to hear your 2013 machine is able to run "Minesweeper" and "Lemmings" so well though.

 

Alright, that's enough. To paraphrase OP, there is no reason at all to post in the Xbox forums and bash on the Xbox compared to a PC. To each their own; please do not troll the forums.
