    How is it legal to have a mandatory update that kills your Xbox and not be held responsible? Last time I checked if I broke something I was held accountable... For Example. If I ran into someone else's car, even if it's a complete accident, wouldn't I be
    forced to repair it or replace It or face consequences no matter how old or the value of the vehicle? So why isn't Microsoft? My console was fine IMMEDIATLY before the update. Update goes 100% and console is supposed to restart. Unfortunately mine didn't turn
    back on. How is this my fault? Console isn't open... sticker is still on back. Why am I responsible? If I take a car in for maintenance and it's out of warranty and they accidently break something, do you know what happens? Well a reputable company would honor
    it's mistake not try and pass the blame, deny or refuse.

    If my property breaks due to age or an accident caused by myself like dropping it or spilling water on it even if it is stolen. I WOULD PAY.

    If it's working fine and you tell me "Hey I'm going to make this work better even though it's not having any issues and add features you don't need. Oh and it's mandatory you have no say on this. We are doing this regardless" IT BREAKS... "sorry for breaking
    your property we know it's not your fault. Pay us and we'll fix our own mistake." In what world would this work? It's not like Microsoft would even see a dent in revenue by doing the RIGHT thing.

    It's like owning a tire shop and dropping nails on the street in the area of the business. It's wrong, unethical, immoral, shady, and ILLEGAL.

    I may take this to small claims court. Maybe the media. I'm not alone and I know this for a fact. FB messages flooding in.

    IDC about the Xbox anymore it's about principle now. It's about YOUR customers. US we pay your checks. No customers = No revenue = No job. Keep that in mind every time you do this to people. Yeah it's a small % and you probably won't notice, but over time
    that % adds up.

    And to any Mods or Ambassadors that more than likely will not reply to this:

    This is not against you. This is for you. What if this happens to you next? Keep that in mind.

    Wrongful suspension from Xbox Live

    Business rules at Microsoft/Xbox? Puhleeze! There's not a single shred of ethical behavior there - not when they'll believe some fraudulent spam reporter over someone (even by the response by Ambassador "Daft Badger") who's done nothing warranting a suspension,
    even dating my activity back to two months ago.

  3. Reimbursement for services not rendered???

    I think since xBox has now failed TWICE, to protect their servers from the "Lizard Squad", that all Live members should be reimbursed for the periods of time that we are unable to use the service that Microsoft sold us!!!

    Microsoft is an ENORMOUS entity.....and they should have to adhere to ethical standards, just like any other American business.

    Just MY opinion, but I'm sure that millions of other paying members would agree....NO?

    I am very sorry to hear that this has happened. My sympathy goes out to you. However, as you have stated previously, it is no longer under warranty and it seems legally Microsoft is not responsible as you can read in the Software License Agreement, specifically
    these sections might be of interest to you :

    "(v) Microsoft may update the Xbox Software from time to time without further notice to You, for example, to update any technical limitation, security, or anti-piracy
    system
    ."

    &

    "The Xbox Software is covered by the warranty for Your Xbox Console, Kinect Sensor or Authorized Accessory, and Microsoft gives no other guarantee, warranty, or condition for
    the Xbox Software. No one else may give any guarantee, warranty, or condition on Microsoft’s behalf."

    &

    "MICROSOFT IS NOT responsible FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; ANY LOSS OF DATA, PRIVACY,
    CONFIDENTIALITY, OR PROFITS; OR ANY INABILITY TO USE THE XBOX SOFTWARE. THESE EXCLUSIONS APPLY EVEN IF MICROSOFT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THESE DAMAGES, AND EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. "

    This is poor business ethics.

    A company as vast as Microsoft should have ZERO problems fixing this immediately.

    It's stating to the gamers that they have no care for their consumers anymore, and that just isn't right.

    No, the terms of service pretty much make it so Microsoft is covered in regards to downtime. Business ethics really don't exist for large corporations anymore.

    Both possibilities seem to go against their principles and ethics as a business.
