I love the world I've created in Minecraft, but I can't even hold a candle to some of
. ><

Do any of you guys have any tips or tricks or advice you'd be willing to share to make worlds as amazing as these? If so, please share!

Almost Impossible to Play Solo

Good luck getting players that do objectives. There's a better chance you get somebody that likes the game.

 

Do you think CoD would have been succesful ?

I don't believe in "skill caps" as I've already stated in previous posts that skill is relative & can't be measured except from 1 person to another ("there's always somebody better" for example). However, I do believe in learning curves. Some games are harder
to learn than others...

Also, as for anyone being able to press buttons on a controller - my mother can't. ;-)

 

Some of the Minecraft worlds I've seen are truly amazing! Sure are some creative people out there.

Meh saw those Creative Mode doesn't hold a candle to something in Survival. Materials alone in Survival win hands down.

 

There are some truly skilled creators out there. Give them the tools and they can build you the High Heavens from Diablo 3. Crazy skills

 

They are impressive. So if you start for the first time and you use creative mode, do you get the tools and materials right away to build things like that?

Would it be better to play survival for a while to get used to it? I don't have interest in that. I just want to build.

 

Creative is flying and anything at the drop of the hat all from the start. No death either.

 

Bran, if you just want to build, go straight to creative mode.

As for survival vs. creative, I pride myself on having created my world completely in survival mode over the course of 6 months.

Right now, I'm occasionally helping Listed Mia on his survival world - he's building some sort of massive pit for reasons I still don't quite understand. I took it upon myself to remove all of the jungle trees that were still "floating" over his pit. That
was not an easy task, let me tell you... :|

Some of the worlds featured in the video at the top of this thread had to have been created on the Xbox 360 and ported over - I simply don't think people can build worlds that nice in 1 week (if it's possible, feel free to show me how). If I had known they
were accepting MC worlds as part of the T10 on Upload, I would've submitted mine. Oh well, maybe next time.

 

Here's a closer look at that "Beetlejuice" world, which I know for a fact was created on the Xbox 360.

Was on news today that a museum in London is being created in Minecraft and all its exhibits

 

Ooh, I'd like to see that. A free trip to a world-famous museum without having to pay for a ticket or airfare? I'm sold!

I only have 14 friends who have an Xbox 1 the rest and best are stuck on Xbox 360. Been playing all Alone on the Xbox 1. Have started a Survival legit world max size where creative mode and host privs will be banned on the world cuz I want achievements open
for it. The seed which works for one of my creative worlds from 360 works on Xbox 1. I will use that for a creative mode map but haven't built anything on it. It must take a lot of time to achieve those things. If I didn't have a schedule and my best friends
on X1 I'd be able to spend more time. Have a full 360 friends list + 3 friends and out of them I've favourite 38 but have played and talked with at least 90% of all of them.
