There's a hardware problem!

I had an issue with my Xbox one where it kept saying, "There's a hardware problem. Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console isn't working. You'll need to send it in for repair. To do this, visit xbox.com/xboxone/repair."

So, I called support. They had me hard reset the machine, even unplug it and time it to make sure it reset. This solved the problem for about 15 mins before it gave me the same message again. No matter how many times I reset it, it would keep giving me this
message. So I sent it off to get repaired.

Today I received my Xbox one and hooked everything up and updated it, and started installing a game along with its updates and dlc. Before I could even get through the dlc of the first game, I get the very same message that I got before I sent the console
in for repair. I do the hard reset, and a few minutes later it takes me back to the error screen saying I need to send it in for repair. Did anything even get done to my Xbox one when I sent it in, or did they just hard reset it and send it back? Very frustrating
to have the same issue occur the very day that I get my Xbox back from the service center.

P.S. I'm using the same internet for all my other gaming systems without a problem. Nintendo Wii U and PlayStation 3 and I don't have any issues with gaming or streaming. I can even be online on both at the same time. Tried disconnecting everything but the
Xbox, and it still didn't make a difference.

Did you ever manage to solve this. I got my Xbox One about a week ago and have run into the same problem, except no amount of unplugging or hard resets will make it work again.

About the only way to solve it is to exchange it for a different one or send it back to Microsoft. I have never had so much trouble with a console in my life. I would replace the wireless card myself, but I don't want to void my warranty just in case something
else craps out. So, I guess I'll just keep sending it back to Microsoft until they get tired of seeing it.

I'm having the same problem. My xbox worked great until a few days ago and then it kept disconnecting. I called support like 6 times and each time they told me to clear my alternate mac address. This fixed the problem for about 15 mins to an hour before
it disconnected. After reading this, I'm reluctant to send it in to be fixed. About how long did it take for them to send it back?

Do you use an external harddrive with USB 3.0? If you do. Plug it off abd try to connect. Xbox one has very bad problems with some kind of Usb 3.0 cable. If you read this Microsoft please fix this problem.

Are you the one "in charge" of the WiFi? I ask because devices can be "kicked off" or blocked from the wifi by the person who administers or controls it. The block can be done by the MAC address so you wont get back on.

If it isn't the above then have you tried telling the Xbox to forget the connection and set it back up from scratch?

If you login to the router you can also clear the current table of devices and it will automatically refresh (wont hurt anything on the network already) and try to bring your console in again like its new.

A full power down and up will fix a lot of things if you have not done that I do suggest it. It can be done from the menu of just hold the Xbox button for 8 seconds; if you want a full reset remove the power cord for 30 seconds prior to turning the console
on again.

As we mentioned noone not even trading standards will touch any opened warrantied product I dont think you realize rhe issue

As soon as its labeled tampered noone not even thr police will touch it

For good reason Noone opens up unknown devices

Baring chemical leak due to tampering or hidden devices the same concept is applied to left behind brief cases

Also should be noted console bans also invalidates warranty this is to keep people from swapping out consoles to avoid bans

Fyi they dont need proof thats what you arent getting

As soon as they see the damaged sticker they dont touch it even with a 10 foot pole

It is immediate hands off and repackaged without even looking at it

Again due to safety reasons no manufacturer will allow any worker to work on unknown products

Therr is too many safety issues
