    I was trying to link up my xbox account to epic games, because I have made quite a lot of progress on my xbox rocket league account and I don't want to restart. Could this problem be due to the fact that the email for the xbox account and epic games account
    have different emails/passwords or does that matter?

    What if immediately after clicking on the icon for the platform you use to play with your unnamed account (Xbox) I get: " There was an error processing the credentials from the external login system. Please contact support." Any ideas? I am able to sign into a Microsoft account separately without any problems.
