    I am in the Preview Alpha program and when I turned on my system today the message on my screen said "There was a problem with the update" Tried several times to complete update, powered the console off/on several times. Will not complete the update so I
    cannot do anything online. Chat support told me to report a problem thru the console, but obviously that won't work and they gave me a link to this thread to post this issue.

    Error code 0x80072EFD 0x00000000 0x00000206

    ISP is Windstream ( chat support told me to include ISP info)

    I still cannot update, the update stops at 10% and quits.

    If you buy something new from any store and it fails to work as advertised, you are going to be ticked off. I don't care what it is. I have two X1s sitting under the Xmas tree now. And I should have no reason to think they would not instantly function as
    advertised, come Christmas morning.

    Having the same problem here! I aswell talked to support and they told me the same exact info (including ISP.) I am also using Windstream by the way. They did however tell me they are rolling out a update soon to fix the problem.....sooo I guess we just

  6. I am also having the same issue. Tech support told me to send in my xbox which i will not do. Can you please keep me informed if and how you get this fixed. I also have Windstream.

  7. This is very interesting. We have the same error message. We've tried to complete the update, hard booted the console, checked our WiFi and internet connections, and we still get this same error. We've been trying off and on to figure out what's going
    on for the past 10 hours. The bizarre thing is....our ISP is also Windstream. Please let us know if you find a fix.

    There was a problem with the update

    I'm also having the same issue with this latest May 5th update. Same 0x80072EFD error code when trying to install the update. It just goes back to the "There was a problem with the update" screen no matter how many times I've attempted the update.

    I've power cycled the console, unplugged it for several minutes, restarted the DSL modem and Linksys router, but nothing will get this update to work. None of the other devices in the house that are connected to the internet are having any issues at all,
    just the console.

    My ISP is also Windstream, not surprisingly. I should also note that my modem and router were not supplied by Windstream. They are units that I purchased myself for better connectivity.

    UPDATE: The issue is DEFINITELY Windstream. I enabled the mobile hotspot feature on my phone, connected my XBox One to it, and used Verizon to download the update with zero problems.

  12. Same **** different day!!! Obviously the issue is somehow with Windstream. Don't know why I have been able to perform countless updates using Windstream over the past 10 years with no problems. (Wish there was a SARCASM font)/ Guess my only solution is to
    pack up my Xbox and haul it to a friend's house who doesn't have Windstream and try and do the update there. I do not have access to the mobile hotspot function on my phone unfortunately.

    You and I are in the same boat my friend *sigh* I don't have access to hotspot either. And all my friends unfortunately...use Windstream

  14. Well Fragger, I was able to complete the update as soon as I signed in to a friend's WiFi (AT&T). So if you can find anybody...neighbor...somebody that has a mobile hotspot or non-Windstream internet service you can use, it will fix the issue. If not, hopefully
    there will be a solution from MS soon. I feel for you brother, it's been very frustrating the last 36 hours trying to figure this out.
