    There was a problem with the update


    When i got on this morning i was greeted by a msg saying THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE UPDATE and the only options are TRY AGAIN , CHECK NETWORK CONNECTION, SKIP AND STAY OFFLINE and TURN OFF XBOX. I have tried all off them and i have also searched
    up solutions but there is only one solution that has been working and it is to factory reset my xbox and i cannot afford to factory reset, all my games are downloaded and updated. At my home we have a certain amount of monthly internet and i cannot afford
    to re-download everything. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!! Oh and the error code i got was 0x8B050033 0X00000000 0X00000201 i tried looking it up on xbox site but nothing comes up

    I still cannot update, the update stops at 10% and quits.

    If you buy something new from any store and it fails to work as advertised, you are going to be ticked off. I don't care what it is. I have two X1s sitting under the Xmas tree now. And I should have no reason to think they would not instantly function as
    advertised, come Christmas morning.

    I also got this message this morning. I chose the "Skip and Stay Offline option. It took me straight to my dashboard. From there I connected to Xbox Live and everything seemed to work OK. But I have read that is a temporary fix but a fix nonetheless.

    I did the same thing, except mine just kept me connected to Xbox Live. It does seem to only be a temporary solution, as I had to do it again,when installing an update for a game.

    Interesting, I hope there is a fix for this soon. I've been at work all day I'm hoping everything is working when I get home. It's probably better that these problems happen in the preview build than the actual release. (To put things in perspective)

    Hey ShakyChaff36025! You can use a usb to
    update the console offline    , if retrying the update does not work. Post back and let me know how it goes!
