"There was a problem with the update."

The xbox kept saying that there was something wrong with their service, and we could not load or access any of the game apps. Tried turning on and off, and restarting. We also tried to reset, keeping current games and app settings.

Then when the console was trying to do initial update it says, "There is a problem with the update. ERROR CODE: 0x87DD003 0x00000000 0x00000200."

When I have searched for this code online, it says it does not exist.

I really not sure where to go from here.

I still cannot update, the update stops at 10% and quits.

If you buy something new from any store and it fails to work as advertised, you are going to be ticked off. I don't care what it is. I have two X1s sitting under the Xmas tree now. And I should have no reason to think they would not instantly function as
advertised, come Christmas morning.

We suggest you try performing a
Factory Reset on your console while keeping your games and apps.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console.
