    Turned on my Xbox One today for this error to show up.

    Error code: 0x80072F8F 0x00000000 0x00000200

    I have tried the following fixed.

    -Hard reset and power cycled Xbox. Including unplugged it from power

    -Swapped Ethernet cable

    -Swapped Port on modem

    -Power cycled router

    -Tried wireless connection

    -Tried another wireless hotspot

    I cannot view any network details as the moment i try to connect to the net I get taken but to this error screen.

    I had a USB modem if i need but it doesn't look like the Xbox picks it up

    I still cannot update, the update stops at 10% and quits.

    If you buy something new from any store and it fails to work as advertised, you are going to be ticked off. I don't care what it is. I have two X1s sitting under the Xmas tree now. And I should have no reason to think they would not instantly function as
    advertised, come Christmas morning.

    I normally come across this type of error code in relation to system updates - not game updates.

    According to this, the error code quoted indicates a problem downloading the update. Given that you say this problem has been occurring for 3 months, we'll have to use alternative methods to update your system software.

    This error happened after the new update, so a new update will be required to fix the problem.
