    Not sure if I have been hacked but this seemed to occur when you guys messaged me on the Xbox 360 asking me to change my gamertag a few months ago. Since then I have changed it but it does not seem to have taken an affect on my Xbox.com account. This also
    includes all the other data associated with the account but i will just assume you guys did that.

    Is there any way to resolve this problem without having to contact your support team or closing my email completely?

    Can't buy anything from xbox marketplace

    You can also try going to billing contact information under my account on xbox.com and see if the contact email is different than your microsoft account email you log into. That sometimes helps as well.

    Setting up accounts for family members

    Hooked up today for the christmas present and i have my account on there. How do i set my 8 year old up with an account. It seems that when i tried, it asked for an email. He doesnt have an email, do i really have to make an email account up just for him to play. It seems that he was able to play games under my account and able to talk to the xbox and give it comands, it just seems hard sometimes for connect to recognize him. If i dont add him, can he still turn it on by saying xbox on or does it have to be me? I dont mind him logged in under me, he cant buy anything since its code protected, i just dont know if its worth setting up a seperate log. In just for him....

    Thoughts or ideas or am i missing something?

    If you are seeing a different gamertag on the website then on your console that typically means you're using the wrong e-mail address to sign into the website. If that's not the case then it means your account is broken and you'll need to contact support.

  5. I've had some problems with the account in the past that are unrelated to this so that might be a factor. Cheers again Fred!

    If you are seeing a different gamertag on the website then on your console that typically means you're using the wrong e-mail address to sign into the website. If that's not the case then it means your account is broken and you'll need to contact support.

    thanks paper but, if it is my WLID then how do i change my email to a different one. On xbox.com it says i have to do it on my xbox under setting and account. But i dont have the account on my xbox to do that with. So how can i change this?

    When you login to xbox.com the account information is wrong?

    Go to your console and check your email address under My Xbox ->Account Information.

    If the email is in correct - Recover this, junk, account onto the console then under the account information, change the email address to a new one so only one GT is link to that email.
