There is no .minecraft or save folder on my laptop

I have the windows 10 version of minecraft on my hp notebook. The past couple of days, when I open the game, my world disappears. These are worlds I've put a lot of time into. I restarted a world today and just went to play and its gone as well. I did tons
of research on how to get them back but..... theres no %appdata% file for minecraft anywhere on my computer nor are there any save files. please help.

    :)

There is no .minecraft or save folder on my laptop

    Hey Laura

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to manage your save data for Minecraft.

There is an article on the Mojang Support site that I will link
    here
, that covers how to find this file. Make sure you are able to view your hidden files as well!

    Alternatively you can visit the
    Minecraft Forums
and see if the info you are seeking is there.

I hope this is of some help to you.

I’m trying to play on my survival world but it keeps saying it’s corrupted.

    Access Application Data\.minecraft\saves. ...

    1. Make a copy of the corrupted world folder & all files & folders inside, and rename it however you please. ...
    2. Start Minecraft and create a new world, then save and close Minecraft. ...
    3. Go back to Application Data\. ...
    4. Cut the files (but not the folders) from the new saved world folder.

    Minecraft Windows 10

    Hello AaravSingh1,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I can provide you some details on what you're looking for. The Minecraft worlds are located within the drive itself. As recommended below, if you're looking to get that world off of the old Dell Laptop, then you'd want to
remove the drive and see if you can obtain a case to turn that drive to an external drive in order for you to recover the files. Once that's been completed, there will be a few steps needed to locate and recover the world.

Go to your start menu and search run. Alternatively you can press the Windows button + R.

    Type "%appdata%" then press OK.

Go into your .minecraft folder, then your saves folder, then (if you remember the name of your deleted world) copy paste the world folder into the same saves folder.

Go back into Minecraft and play your recovered Minecraft world.

Hope this information helps, Happy Gaming!

I uninstalled Minecraft, thinking my world will be back when I reinstall it. It wasn't there!

minecraft on pc does not have cloud saves, google where the save folder is then you can backup.

    Minecraft Bedrock worlds disappeared. :(

Hello Vladislav, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

Usually all Minecraft worlds you own are saved locally on your PC's hard drive. However, they are well hidden in separate folders and subfolders. So to get access to your your lost worlds, you'll first need to to into the Minecraft hidden folder.

    Here are the steps to guide you;

1 – Navigate to Windows Start, type %appdata% and hit Enter

2 – Go to \roaming.minecraft\saves. Here you’ll find the folders where the game saved your worlds. Note that each of your worlds are stored in separate folders.

3 – Open up the folder for the world you want to restore

4 – Right-click on an empty area and select Properties

5 – Select the Previous version tab to list all the Minecraft world folders that got deleted

6 – Select the folder you’re want to restore and click Restore to recover it.

7 – Launch Minecraft, click on the menu and you should see the world you just restored on there.
