There is almost no incentive to use the Xbox Store to purchase games.

Mind yoi bf 5 isnt on there yet but you grt a full game for 14 days then cab buy at q discount or delete it

 

I understand your frustrations...imo digital is superior (not concening issues with price or refunds, which are rare for me) The ability to not worry about a disc and gamesharing with my wife is awesome only having to own one copy.

 

So when a game like Fallout 76 (which is a well-known buggy, deceptively marketed, broken game) is not eligible for a refund through the online store, what's the point of having a refund policy at all? I know you didn't have one at all before, but transitioning
to having one that is as strict as the current system in place doesn't really change anything; the end-user experience is identical.

Your company needs to stand by the quality of the games you license on your platform, and if a studio releases a broken, half-finished game, you need to disincentivize that financially by allowing refunds to unhappy customers, and not supporting a refund-in-name-only
policy.

Lastly, my main argument is that there is almost zero incentive to using the store in its current state. The refund policy, as myself and other users have found out, doesn't change that at all. As it currently stands, I have no confidence that Microsoft
will care if I get ripped off. Other physical stores will allow me a full refund, and that gives me a peace of mind knowing that's the case. Doesn't Microsoft want to foster the same impression with its customers?

 

Yeah i played fallout for about 30min and they still denied it. They don't seem to care anymore

 

You decided in 30 minutes? Is it really that bad?

 

What's even more interesting is that when you buy it digitally, you don't even own it.

 

Xbox TOS has stated all the information about refunds but if you play a game for more tha 4 hours it cant be refunded...

Thank you for your response to my post. I too had never really requested a refund before, and sadly it's not until it's too late that you find out how strict and unrelenting the policy is. As an update, they have changed their minds on whether they
would refund my purchase and did give me a refund, but I feel that's because I made a big stink about it and posted here to the forums. I was denied 2 times before being granted a refund, and that happened AFTER I made this post. I'm hoping that's not what
it takes for most people!

I decided in about an hour and 15 minutes. Everything that felt like it was the soul of Battlefield has been replaced by something that feels more like Call Of Duty. For the people that like those games I'm sure that's going to be viewed as a good thing,
but there's a reason why I switched over to the Battlefield series after MW2. Check out the
, they do a really good job of breaking down all the things that just don't feel like it's a Battlefield game anymore.
