"There is a problem with your saved games" Error Code: 0x80831002

Hi.

I don't personally use the xbox but my 8 year old son does. Recently when he tries to play Lego Worlds it comes up with an error message saying that ''there is a problem with your saved games' you'll need to delete and sync them again'.

Sorry to sound thick but I don't think we currently save his games to the cloud because I have never seen that option for saving games. I'm not sure if this is only an option if you use xbox live because he doesn't. Does this mean that if I delete and
sync he will lose all of his saved game data for all of his games?

I know I sound old but this was so much easier when you could just stick a game in and play it.

Xbox One error loading save, cant start games or apps.

Do you get the following error message?

ERROR 0x80831002 There's a problem with your saved games ...

Sadly, this did not fix my issue. I am now experiencing horrific glitches in the game where I cannot even see my own characters gun/no sound. I still receive the same error code. It is to the point where every game has the sync issue. I have already tried resetting
my console, but it did not fix it either. I am running out of ideas.

Thanks for reaching out to us! If you're receiving the error message asking your to delete then sync them again, you don't need Xbox Live to be sync'd to the cloud, just internet connection, so long as you are on an Xbox One system. This is not true, however,
if you are on an Xbox 360, in which case you would need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

If you are on an Xbox One, then feel free to delete the saved games and then resync the saves. If you are on an Xbox 360, then yes, it would delete all of his saved game data since he doesn't have an Xbox Live subscription.

Hi, I have an xbox one. I literally just installed OneDrive. I dont pay anything towards Live membership and I dont have it as far as I know.

I just want to check that if I now delete everything and resync it wont lose all of his saved game data as didnt have OneDrive when saving the games in the past? I dont need to back it up on the cloud now or anything?

As stated by XBF Amber M the saves are automatically saved to the cloud, no subscription is needed it is all done automatically as long as the console is connected to the internet.
Go ahead and try clearing the game cache:

How to clear Game Cache on the Xbox One:

Settings

System

Storage

Clear Local Saved Games

Yes and Restart

IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET no progress or purchase data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the profile to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

So my 1X had been doing this, so I stopped playing it. I travel for work and was unable to get home to ship the unit for repairs prior to the warranty expiring, so I went ahead and bought a new SSHD drive and installed it. Games worked for about a day before experiencing the same issue again. I'm concerned there's a problem with the hardware other than the HDD...
