There is a problem getting this content at the moment. Advice needed.

Hi,

For the last month or two, I’ve had the “There is a problem getting this content at the moment.” error message on my home screen when I log into my Xbox One.

I am also unable to join any friends’ parties or games unless I get an invite. The option to just join is always greyed out despite them not being invite only. I can invite them to parties and games no problem and once I get an invite, there’s no actual
issue with the party/game itself.

I’ve tried everything I can think of from a hard reset of my console to a full reboot of my internet but nothing seems to work. My NAT type is open and I can play online multiplayers with no internet issues so I really don’t know what else to do apart from
take a hammer to the console. Can someone please advise before I actually so this?!

Hello there,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. You may need to try resetting your operating system. Perform a soft factory reset by following these steps :

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select System.
Select Console info & updates.
Select Reset console.
Select Reset and keep games and apps.

Note*** you will have to re-download your accounts that you use. Be sure you know the email and password to your account before continuing

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

We understand this can be frustrating and confusing since the profile does not work properly after changing the primary email for the gamertag.

I would recommend trying to remove
and re-add your account. When you download the profile back onto the console, use the new email and password, not the old one.

Side Note:
It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
it from the console.

To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.
